7:00pm: Claypot dinner - claypot is a cooking style using clay earthenware cooking pots. It is a local favourite in the winter. Famous is the lamb/goat/mutton stew as well as rice cooked in the pot with toppings. It is meant to add warmth to the cold winter days. Rice cooked in claypots will absorb the flavour of the topping as well as a crispy crust at the bottom.
For the adventurous snake soup is another winter delicacy.

No, I wasn't planning to attend the Singapore Do, but I'm coincidentally arriving in HK on Friday evening. Zorak had told me of some events around those dates in HK, but it looks like the timing won't work out this time around.

Many thanks to tentseller for hosting an excellent pre-Do!! Fantastic meals that I never would have procured on my own!! Much appreciated.

Until next time, may the miles be plentiful and the IRROPS few (or at least advantageous ).
