Less likely that time of the year, unlikely to get the Oz-Arg double-dip like last year...

technically there was once a hokkaiDO in 2010 that was not in the current form of DOs. but it did exist. i shall let whoever (who did not go) to find where on FT that is

but it's fun to watch you guys organize now. i will not commit until much later.

Looks like ski resorts in Hokkaido may be open at that time? Is that correct, do they still have ski-able snow in April?

Sounds like a good excuse for a Circle Pacific fare!

Sounds very attractive to me.

Thought about combining it with a ski-trip in Japan, but rejecting it after checking out the climate and seasonal ski lift operations. Ski areas in Hokkaido are famous for powder skiing, but the season for that is regularly only in January / February.

I‘m interested in the Do very much, but can‘t fix my plans ahead so far.
Please count me in as a Maybe.

Unfortunately, my status has now changed to "Not attending". Flights were just not working for me and decided to do a different do instead (SIN DO) where everything lined up perfectly. Hope to join another Japan DO in a few years. Have fun everyone.

We have flights booked to arrive in Cts on 18/4, and flights booked to leave Oka on 28/4. Now to fill in the gaps....
PS @nme7 we expect to see you in Hokkai-Do

Wink About time.

This is due.
I thought we would go here back in 2016 when we wound up going to Tokyo again; and I learned about it when I was (going to) refer a Tokyo-Sapporo transit W-WW site here.
I passed on Okinawa. Mostly because I did not want to have to schedule another flight from Tokyo to there.
There is still a train line running from Tokyo to Sapporo. I'll definitely look at that. {Hyperdia will provide you with options for even this route!}
Here is what Tokyo Cheapo scribed back in July 2016 on how to go from Tokyo to Sapporo.
This may be late enough in the season that I can still go to Cinema Wasteland in Cleveland, OH. and be refreshed enough to go to Japan also.
Look (or do not) for more posts from me on this thread. Sapporo is definitely a part of Japan that I want to view.
