In order to avoid confusion (some folks don’t seem to look at dates) I have moved recent posts discussing a future Alaska Do into a separate thread.

It does not involve spoiling Caesar does it?
Highly unlikely to be able to make it this year - plans for all of June and July and wife with me. 2019 - well I will consider anything - Yakutat possibly? The flight to HNL?

I'm scoping out Yakutat with @ANC RED-EYE and @alphaeagle in a couple of months. Will know then if it's DOable. Of course, we scoped out CDV last May and that's why it was on my radar to do for the next DO. Never fear; it'll be a long while yet before we run out of things to see in the Last Frontier!
Most places in Alaska I've been to work, however some like GAM or RDD might not really work out.
I think that CDV may be in the cards for 2019...

All things having to do with an Alaska DO are announced in JACKAL time. Most of these announcements will have anywhere from 3 to 7 nanoseconds between announcement and the actual happening.:eek
Occasionally these announcements happen with less notice, but only if Beckoa is in the conversation....

The DO will most likely happen in Q2 2019 with a trip to Cordova by ferry being one of the highlights. The date will be set (hopefully) in Q4 2018 based on next Year’s ferry schedule. The Casa de Bob W BBQ will be one of the events. Jackal will announce the actual dates and schedule and it is up to anyone interested to keep asking for more details.
