Beer is only listed twice in your itinerary. I do not approve.

He's saving room for the soju you're bringing him!

Anyway I'm Japan bound this morning taking NH 173 from IAH in a couple hours. See y'all over there! I'll be in Tokyo from Sunday until Wednesday night when I head to OKA. If any of you are around drop me a PM.

Oh kirkwoodj thought you'd get a kick out of this, which a friend posted on Instagram

Sorry, have been flying like mad since 15/3 and for some reason I’m not getting updates about this thread. I guess me and +1 should be fine joining for both the drinks on 29/3 and dinner on 30/3.
Do we have any definite sightseeing plans yet? I would really like to know so that I can make our own arrangements for whatever isn’t covered by the DO already. Public transport information isn’t fast to check up so I would like to do them in advance instead of on-the-spot!

Anyone landing in nrt this afternoon. Been 3 hrs and I’m still stuck in the queue waiting to clear immigration. No priority queue whatsoever for F or J pax or worse still young kids.
Absolute shambles!!

I landed yesterday afternoon and the regular line seemed normal-ish. I was given a fast track pass as an ANA F pax, but I didn't get one last year as a J pax.

Currently sitting in the Hilton Tokyo lounge happy hour thinking back to the many hours we spent up here last year.

That sounds horrendous. Must be all those tourists coming to catch earlier than usual cherry blossoms.

Those of us going to Tokyo after the Do will be too late.

I think they hand out a few fast track passes per flight to each airline and it’s up to them to decide who to give them to.

Let me know if you would of like to catch up
either this evening or tomorrow. I was travelling TG F, asked the crew and on ground staff but was told to stay in the same queue. My plans are pretty flexi from this evening, probably going to take it a bit easy today as my legs are still recovering from the 3.5hrs shuffle at NRT. Worst wait ever at any airport in my lifetime.

Will there be name tags or something similar (stickers?) to help out those who are identity/memory-challenged (like me)? Otherwise I’m afraid I won’t know who is who even before any drinking...
My flight only lands at 1800 on 29/3 so I may not be at the bar by 1900. Will make our way there ASAP, but probably will arrive no earlier than 1930 or 1945, save us 2 seats please. Are there any dinner plans for that evening, or will that be where we are eating dinner as well?
Lastly... would one of the organisers like to PM me their WhatsApp number or something like that, in case my flight is delayed and we can’t make it (or will be substantially late) for the pre-DO drinks? PVG has a terrible on-time departure record...
P.S. And... still no definite sightseeing plans for 30/3 or 31/3? Would really like to know, since it makes a difference to our hostel bookings and bus pass tickets.

I’m at Oshiage (Skytree). Planning to head out to Shibuya now and later to Meguro River for nighttime Sakura viewing.

Please send positive thoughts, that I may survive this one-day work week, then be on my way. I'm sure it will be a long & punishing day. Glad those of you already in Japan are having a good time. See you soon.
