Another point of interest for some, Awamori Distilleries (of which there are at least 48 on the main island of Okinawa) are available and with reservations can be done in conjunction with a Shuri Castle visit. Mizuho Distillery is the oldest in Shuri (english review). Also Zuisen Distillery is close by as well.

I'm afraid I need to drop to "Not this year." I have a work situation (not in the negative sense) that is making it hard for me to make plans right now and may require work travel on very short notice. I hope to be able to make it to the next edition of this Do.

So the do dinner is booked at 琉球ダイニング 地酒横丁. As of 3/13/2018 we have a reservation for 20 with the ability to increase to a few more seats if we need to.

According to my research, i.e. Googling, どぅるてん is a tempura of ドゥルワカシー 
which looks something like this.
It is indeed very local and most dishes sound very exotic to me.
