Domestic flights to/from Naha (OKA)

If anyone has a ticket to NRT, HND, KIX, etc. and needs to book flights to/from Okinawa (OKA), ANA and JAL's domestic flight tickets for March 25 or later will go on sale at 9:30AM JST on January 25. Members of ANA/JAL's frequent flyer programs and those with the airline's credit cards may start booking one or two days earlier. Check the airlines' website for further information.

Discounted tickets sold under various names will also go on sale on the same day as will discounted tickets only available to overseas visitors. It is not clear whether the Do dates will fall in a blackout period but it's worth checking.

oneworld Yokoso/Visit Japan Fare
JAL Welcome to Japan Fare
ANA Experience Japan Fare
ANA Visit Japan Fare

A few LCCs also fly between Tokyo and Naha (Okinawa).

Jetstar
Skymark
Starflyer
Vanilla Air

Just to add to NewbieRunners post, the most points efficient way I've found is using Etihad miles to book on ANA. It should be 12k Etihad miles, though I am unsure what the cash taxes/fees are.

Using avios you book on JAL will be 15k rt with minimal fees.

ANA itself will sell you the domestic award for 7k oneway, and is a Amex MR transfer partner

With less than 10 weeks to the DO, I have updated post #3 with the handles of those who have confirmed their attendance and those interested/maybes.

Please post any addition or correction in this thread.

Let me ask this about flights in Asia - I intend to fly from Okinawa to Hong Kong on Sunday to pick up a CX flight home, but the Hong Kong Airlines nonstop is like $600 one way. Is that the usual price for that flight?

Also, you can confirm me with a +1.

One way flights to HKG are terribly expensive. Have you tried booking a return?

Also, you can confirm me with a +1.
Done!

I'll try that. It's just bananas that a coach seat is only like $150HKD less than a business seat.

The cheapest one way I can find on Google Flights is Jetstar via SIN!

I am considering flying into TPE, then taking TPE-OKA on BR. There is just 1 flight a day, very early in the morning. 1 h 40 m flight. Cost will be about 10,000 TWD coach. I have a flexible booking at the DoubleTree Naha. I will finalize plans after events are posted.

Same.
There's JL F availability so though I had wanted to include HKG, I'll probably just do that.

HKA/HX is not the most punctual airline... go for Cathay Dragon. Its only 59k JPY if you book a return on April 10 along with it.

I'll probably be going via HKG and TPE as well *assuming things don't go sideways at work*

Might check out a ULCC TPE-OKA as others are 2-3x as much.

And the sale opened today. Fares to TYO were rather low, except of course the 'value45' and 'value55' fare is of course gone on the exact flight I wanted to take with NR. No harm done, the ANA website in Germany shows a lower visitor fare. ^ 326€ for 4 people is a steal.
