Will keep an eye out on this thread. Too early for me to commit yet, but have always enjoyed my Japan Do trips!

I'm quite interested in Okinawa, but it looks like the dates are going to be a bit tougher to swing this year so I can't commit yet.

Just a suggestion- since flight options they should be fairly similar.

(Ducks and run - suggesting since i didnt see any formal Korea planning)
I see there's a lot of OKA-TPE; seems HKG-OKA is a bit more difficult (no CX award space on the date I want).

I'm all booked, staying at the DT. Still not 100% certain I can go, but I'm in as of now.

I'd really like to get to one of the Japan DOs eventually, and I've not been to Okinawa, so I'll at least feign interest and subscribe myself to the thread. I've also wanted to do a road trip in Japan, and would be happy to drive if such an itinerary worked out.

+1 to TPE (yay milk tea and Din Tai Fung!) for my unreliable vote.

I so wish I had seen this earlier. Okinawa sounds intriguing. I will try keep it in mind for 2019.

Street food... lots of it.
And perhaps some beach time.
That's my plan

This youtube video appealed the most to my boys:
(ok, we skipped reason one about the Orion beer, but the frog bag was a hit). The beaches and snorkeling look interesting, altough the predicted 23-25 C temperature may dampen that.

The video seems to feature an awful lot more alcohol than just the Orion beer.

Not a fan of spam myself but I recently learned that an esteemed FT moderator recommends spam musubis (or spamusubi for short) for breakfast.

The snake alcohol was super interesting. The snakes in the glass jar were commented immediately with 'you can't bring that into the EU, they will arrest us at customs'.

You'd better consume it while in Japan in that case.

It's going to have to be, since there doesn't appear to be any Costco locations in Okinawa
