CHICAGO - Georgian (not the US Georgia) Flyertalk Lunch Do - Sunday Nov 5
Its a cultural crossroads
Georgia’s roots can be traced back to 4th century BC. The earliest evidence of wine to date was found here, in 8,000-year-old wine jars. The Great Silk Road passes through Georgia and has played a highly significant role in the country’s culture and history. As it served as the roadways of cultural exchange, Georgian cuisine has absorbed the best culinary traditions of the many peoples of Asia, the Black Sea coast and Europe.
Sounds intriguing, how about the food.
Ajaruli Khachapuri is Fresh-baked bread stuffed with Mozzarella cheese topped with a runny egg
Chicken Tabaka is a traditional Georgian dish of a pan-fried crispy chicken. Served with blackberry, creamy garlic and tkemali sauces
Chakapuli is a Georgian stew made of lamb, onions, tarragon, tkemali, fresh herbs and garlic
I don't know about you but my mouth is watering. To boot, the restaurant is a BYOB place! (BYOB = Bring Your Own Booze)
Who's up for lunch? ALL are welcome.

Put me down as a maybe for this one, please.
I have marked my calendar. So far it is open, so hope it stays that way.

Mark me down as interested. It certainly sounds like a lot of fun.
