Not a fan of the thunder and heavy rain. Hoping it clears up in the next half hour so I can walk downhill to the dinner location.

Hope the weather clears for the weekend!
Enjoy it all folks – just frantically catching up here from a few weeks away in Tibet and Western China, and a shame this clashed. Survived the altitude sickness from wandering around there at over 5000 metres - way over 3 miles high.
A few FT’ers are drifting back home via SYD, so hopefully a dinner etc might be organised by then, if there is any interest.

Plenty of blocked seats still open. If you’re not coming, please let us know. There’s a queue at the door & the owner/manager not pleased

Good decision to take the 10pm bus up the hill with CDKing rather than walking. Shortly after entering my room, strong winds and monsoonal rains came back. Perfect timing to not be out in it. Winds look strong enough to knock someone over. Welcome to Noosa
Dinner photos are on line now. I'll post a restaurant exterior photo here from this afternoon and one of my pepperoni pizza that looked like it was singed with a blowtorch.

Round 3 of weather rolling thru right now.
Rain should make it for nice sleeping- although the residual humidity is
Good news- my resort does have a way out despite the closure for the parade/race tomorrow
