So the biggest decision is who wants a Koala photo and who doesn't?

We have signed up for both Fri and Sat night dinners but will give the Australia Zoo Day trip a miss as we have seen koalas etc many, many times before.....

As we have a car, we might visit the https://www.eumundimarkets.com.au/ instead on Sat am.
Then have lunch either at Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club or at https://www.thesurfclub.com.au/.(Mooloolaba)
Maybe a https://www.noosariverandcanalcruise.../sunset-cruise before Sat dinner.

I'm going to pass on the Zoo visit, too. I'll do something on my own via local transit to Maroochydore/Mooloolaba instead and plan on being back for dinner. Will be at both dinners.

I think I did my obligatory koala cuddle about a decade ago, but other than that I'm in on all fronts - incl zoo. I'll just have to remember not to alight there on Thurs on my way up!

kpc,

Just be aware that the Noosa Surf Club is undergoing a major renovation. That was to be the venue for Friday night but they said that about 50% of the venue is unusable at the moment.

Also the koala cuddle isn't mandatory but people were looking forward to seeing you cuddle a crocodile.

Thanks for the info. We will probably avoid Noosa itself on Sat am / lunchtime as the Marathon is on...and head to Mooloolaba.

Didn't the croocodile cuddle already take place at the Darwin OZ Fest?! Also John Brown, the ex minister for sport, recreation and tourism said in 1983 in reference to koala bears:
"The belief of Americans that they are a lovely, cuddly little bear is fairly well exploded when they get here and pick one of the rotten little things up," Brown said before stunned tourism industry leaders at the Brisbane luncheon. "They find it's flea-ridden, it piddles on you, it stinks and it scratches."

I have registered for the dinners and the zoo trip but I definitely draw the line at getting up close and personal with any bear--Koala or brown or grizzly!!

I have signed Mr Fifa and I up for dinner on the Friday and Saturday nights.
As we have both been to Australia Zoo we'll be giving it a miss.

We will be driving to Noosa and staying Fri and Sat nights at Hotel Laguna on Hastings Street.

We signed up for the dinners and invited two of our local relatives to join us (4 tickets booked). We've been to this zoo (one of the best!) so looking for alternate ideas.
