Cool SAN Sunday January 29, 2017 Brunch, Crack Shack

BOB W and I will be in town the morning of January 29th and wondering if anyone in SAN is up for Brunch?

We fly out on AS487 so something around 11 AM was what we were planning.

Suggestions appreciated. Staying in the Mission Valley area Saturday Night.

I'm interested in joining you!

I don't go out for brunch very often, but here is one idea: http://www.94thsandiego.com/menus/on...nu/brunch-menu

Snooze in Hillcrest is pretty good too but there'll likely be a fairly long wait for a table at 11am. On the other hand, Hillcrest is fairly close to SAN.

Sounds like we've got a venue:

Crack Shack @ 12:30 PM.

Thanks to SanDiego1K for the recommendation ^

And check out this blast from the past:

Warning: parking is a challenge. Hopefully there will be some available on the street. If not, Juniper and Ivy next door offers valet parking.

For folks not familiar with Crack Shack, this is San Diego's all things chicken restaurant. It's owned by celeb chef Richard Blais of Top Chef fame who runs the adjacent Juniper and Ivy. You stand in line, you order what you want, and you take your number to one of the long tables. My husband and I will be coming from church so won't be able to be early. Whoever gets there first, try to find a section of a table where a bunch of us can crowd in.

And yes, I'm very excited about the Crack Shack opening in Encinitas next month.

Roxanne and I will come, but we will be about 40 min late because we are arriving at SAN on DL 4550 at 12:42p from LAX (last connecting flight from SCL).
We'll taxi to the restaurant directly from the airport.

Amtrak does not run on that weekend because of track work. If someone can get us closer to North County afterwards, that would be great.

We're happy to take you north after we take our guests to the airport.

Not likely that I can go, so put me down as a "regret." Sorry to miss the fun!

I should be able to make it.

I live in little italy - so the venue couldn't be more convenient.

Looking forward to it!

Thanks, I did not realize at first the meet-up threads are here on FT.
If anyone wants trip details on Córdoba, Mendoza, Santiago, Vina del Mar, or Valparaiso; ask me.

You don't want to trek from one end of the county to the other? I didn't think we could entice you to drive so far. We'll miss you. Next time.
