Hey all, even though I'm a confirmed carnivore, I am in awe of well prepared vegetable dishes.

It has been awhile since the FT Chicago dinner group has dined at a vegetarian restaurant, so about time we did.

All are welcome to attend the upcoming dinner at Mana Food Bar, a brief description from their website: MANA is a globally inspired, meatless restaurant in Wicker Park Chicago. We focus on seasonal ingredient and ethnic flavors. Susan Thompson (who co-owns De Cero and Sushi Wabi) partnered with Jill Barron (the exec chef at De Cero) to open this Wicker Park vegetarian spot. The menu features a variety of global influences, including Mediterranean, Asian and Middle Eastern....

Maybe for now, but feel compelled to add:

1) If fried bread with veggie cheese is on the menu, it can't be worse than the
Lithuanian version (although everything else was great).
2) The variety of restaurants in the Sweet Willie dining collection is unparalleled.
3) Going from meat-loving Eastern European to hardcore veggie in one month may
require therapy.

very good dr88 & Plainsman my body is thankful for the change in cuisine! I have you as a maybe for now.

Will be traveling day so I have to pass. I cant wait to hear the reviews

I might be in PHX that day. Will be a last minute attendee if I can make it.

Love this place - sorry to miss it as I'll be in Boston. Order the boozy slushy for me!

No can do for me, will be back at school by then. Maybe a Chicago Seminars do? Too bad I couldn't go to the Lithuanian DO, but Nashville was a blast!
