Abbreviations
OK, dumb question, but can't work this one out. Seems to be mainly used by Americans. I am not familiar with the terms in Australia. Have tried to figure it out & tried Google too.
So please what does GFC & BFC stand for in relation to flights? Am thinking first class, business class, global? It has me beat am sure I will feel like an idiot when someone tells me. Thanks |
Look here for abbreviations - jargon http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/glossary.php
GFC & BFC may to a specfic airline ffp. Terms I am not used to. |
Nothing there under the glossary.
Think it may be related to United Airlines & it may be some antiquated, last few decades terminology someone uses for who knows what reason. |
It may be Global First Class/Cabin and BusinessFirst Class/Cabin. United's name for (international) F and C.
BTW, welcome to FT, phaze1 :) |
Thanks
So Global pertains to International ???? Sorry, I really still don't understand the distinction It is beyond me & I wonder if it is not a passenger idiosyncrasy??? |
