Flyertalk Chicago Seminars Dinner Do - Sat Oct 17, 2015
To all that have posted interest.
Last year's restaurant could only hold a limited # of attendees, as you can imagine trying to find a restaurant to hold as large a group as what has currently show interest to attend, is not an easy task. Combine this with our group would be family or buffet style (cheap) and it makes for a less profitable Saturday night for a restaurant.
I've had two deals at larger Chinese venues fall through and my guess is when they did the math, they would be giving up money by taking our group as opposed to their normal Saturday night business.
So sorry to report but the dinner will not happen this year.
I'll post a listing of restaurants that I'd recommend going to that are close to the host hotel.

I might be interested - will depend on time and connections for me from remote(ish) Northern BC. With the weekend off I'd rather not stay there, but would definitely be unable to attend seminars (I understand that may be ok?).

No worries about committing yet, that time will happen in a couple months once group size & venue have been determined.
