My last Secret Santa gift was from a true Secret Santa ... I have NO clue who got me this
It started with a Starbucks e-gift card (thank you for the Peppermint Mochas!) and then it got really cool. So I have a golden retriever, his name is Austin ... I seriously think my wife and I love him more than most people love their children. Austin behaves better than most children anyway.
We got a custom-made recipe for dog treats and Santa included the hardest to find ingredient (brewers yeast). We also got a custom cookie-cutter in the shape of a golden, with Austin's name on it.
Talk about thoughtful and awesome. We're making a batch and bringing them to our vet to share with their pets as well.
Thank you Santa!!!

I just wanted to update the group.... I am starting to take actions against those who did not fulfill commitments.... I hate doing this every year, but we make commitments to each other and Taking without Giving is not acceptable.
I am still working to make everyone whole.... thanks to those of you who offered to help... I can still use a few people if you want to volunteer!
I still hold out hope that some missing gifts that show as shipped will still show up!

Don't feel bad about loving him more than people love their children--that's how it is here with our pups--Geno is currently sprawled out on the bed sleeping, and I won't move, even though I'm hungry and should eat lunch, because I don't want to disturb him.

Good things come to those who wait
In the wonderful spirit of this community:
I received a lovely email and $50 Amazon gift card from my Santa in Canada. My parcel was sent in November by her but it's been lost by Canadian post so hopefully she can track it down at some stage! Much appreciated for your trouble
AND THEN!
a $75 gift card from Mecca Cosmetics from an anonymous Santa who has obviously been sent by the elves to make up for missing gifts. Love it and greatly appreciated.
And to those of you that didn't bother to post what you got (whether you liked it or not) or didn't respond to wharvey's message...shame on you. This isn't the true spirit of what this is all about and it's a real pity that a few have to spoil it for others.

I also see this program as an amazing gift to the whole FT community by Wharvey. He shows a great generosity of spirit in doing this for us all year after year - exactly how Santa is supposed to be!

Well, after filing a claim with USPS and arguing with my apartment management, I hope whoever ended up with my gift enjoys it, I guess. I will definitely be using restricted delivery if I have to mail via USPS to an apartment if I can afford to participate next year! Might be something to consider to anyone else that has experienced a similar situation.

Message just sent out:
Dear Santa participants,
I know you are tired of getting messages from me... and I appreciate those of you who respond back to me. Please understand that I have very many people that have not received their gifts.
I am trying my best to close out SS2014 but need your help.
My records show that you have not reported to me as receiving ALL your gifts... or have not responded at all. I know many of you have responded to me... some as late as earlier this week.
Can I ask that you take the time to respond to me one more time? Or for the first time if you have ignored my other messages?
I will take no response back... as "I have received my gift" and will not bother you any more.
Below is your FT handle and the number of gifts I show as "missing" or "not reported".
Please verify or update.
Thanks in advance,
William
