And the other package came from Helsinki, Finland!
Thank you very much for the candy and the other "candy" = PriorityPass.

Will be very handy as I only book cheapo fares anymore which get you almost nothing in return.
Thank you very much!

Thank you to my thoughtful SS!
I was waiting to open my package, but gave in to temptation. I got a really cool "Shold-It" which I had never seen before - it is a scarf with a secret zippered compartment in it! It will come in handy this spring in Alaska.
I also got a book of the 1001 places to see before you die ( I'd better get started!), a handy book of travel tips, and one more thing that I am leaving till Christmas morning. I think it may be a crossword puzzle book...hmmm..
But thank you to my secret santa - whomever you are! I really had fun with this and hope to participate again next year.
Happy Holidays!

I had the most wonderful surprise today-a personal delivery by my Secret Santa's elf Maureen! I happened to be telecommuting today when the doorbell rang and Santa's elf appeared bearing gifts. Maureen swore that she was not Santa. What a wonderful gesture by both Santa and Maureen to arrange for the personal delivery! I will post the "before opening" photo first, since everything was wrapped so beautifully.

Received a LOVELY gift today from my Secret Santa Mikoza. Received a salt cellar, cat toy, cooking with salt cookbook, craft chocolate, SIX kinds of salt and a book on travels with a mule in Peru (I am going to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley later this year.) Thank you SOOO much for the extremely thoughtful gift.

Gift sent a few days ago. Now waiting for pick up.
The tracking shows that customs in the UK and transfer in Heathrow T5 is planned by the same people. 4 days for an express package to clear customs. ;-)

One "thing" with sending items over a certain value to the UK - the Royal Mail will charge the recipient customs/VAT/duty and then charge an additional £8 fee (the "Royal Mail International Handling Fee") for collecting on behalf of HMRC.

Half the packages sent yesterday for my 4 Secret Santas, half going out today, both combination of USPS and Amazon, but they should deliver by Friday. With one exception, I messed up on one package I ordered last week from Amazon, should have had it shipped directly to recipient but I wasn't thinking.
Hopefully it will arrive quick and I can turn it right around. That recipient will get another box before, but the gift I was waiting for is the most special one. Oh well, poor planning on my part, I will let Santa know later and maybe he can send an apology on my behalf.
That was fun!
