Help on US address
 

Hi all = )

Sorry, i searched all over the internet, i didn't find a apropriate place to ask this, so i may get help from you here :D

I live in Brazil, but my auntie bought a house in Orlando and gave me the address, so i could ship things to there when she's there. The moment arrived and i bought something from a store, i gave them the address as follow:

The package arrived as it should, ok, so i thought it was the time to try ebay, but when i put the address on my ebay page, it forces me to change a few things and the address gets like this:

United States

I searched on google and checked that wasn't a big deal, since it just point more specifically to the house, so i bought something anyway.

The thing is, on the tracking it says "delivered", but this package is nowhere to be found, they checked every possible place the package could be dropped, but no luck.

I won't open a case on ebay or any sort of thing, the seller did what was supposed to do, so i just wondering what could happened...

So, i ask for your help, does that address change that ebay forced me to do could somehow change the destination? I'm very confused :(

Your aunt bought a house in Miami and you gave them an Orlando address? That is more than 200 miles away.

Hi. The change made is ok and normal in the US. The 5 number zip (postal) code covers a large area but by adding the next four numbers, the area of the zip (postal) code becomes very small and more precise. But if its the wrong city as the previous poster mentioned, that is a problem.

I have edited the address you posted to protect your aunt's privacy. Although CommunityBuzz may not be the right forum for this type of question the address you supplied and the zip code seem to point to the sourthern outskirts of Orlando FL, so I assume your aunt is in Orlando rather than in Miami. I hope jdtravel has answered the rest of your question.

I will keep the thread open until you have had a chance to respond.

32837 is an Orlando zip code so this address looks correct. Does the apartment complex have a management/leasing office? If they did not get an answer at your aunt's apartment, check with the office, it's probably there.

Google found this phone number for the management office: (407) 857-5994.

Sorry, my mistake, no Miami, yes Orlando :p

I'm 100% sure i gave the right address, ebay just added the +4 digit on the zip number and changed the #xxx to Apt xxx.

As you guys are saying that's still the same address, i'm very confused, we did searched all the possible places but still haven't found it. We realized that packages from fedex / dhl is delivered to the main gate (general place, as it's a condominium) and the ups / usps are delivered to our mailbox. We checked them both and i don't believe someone would stole it or anything.

Thanks a lot for your help, even if it's a matter non related to the forum and im at a blind spot, so it means a lot for me :D

If you Google the address with or without the additional 4 digits and # or Apt with the number (which I have edited out from your late post) it will point to the same place on Google Maps. As others have already said both addresses were correct. I suggest contacting the management office as Traveller suggested.
