Starting the day at Oklahoma Joe's at 47th and Mission in Fairway, KS. at 11am (I suggest getting there around 1030 for a good spot in line). From there, you'll have a couple hours at your leisure or you can continue the bbq sampling. I was going to head out to Brobeck's in Overland Park because I have not been there yet.

Next stop will be LC's at 3:00 for late lunch/early dinner/snack. Perfect day for sitting outside.

I am really sorry I did not make it last night folks. I got called away to Head Office in DAY and only got back to MCI about 9.15pm last night. Hope you all had fun and Jack Stack was as good as usual.

Jack Stack last night was fun. It's decent BBQ, not my favorite but a great start for the weekend.
I skipped OK Joe's since it is my neighborhood BBQ and I wanted to pace myself today.
Brobeck's was a great addition! The server dropped off samples of ham salad at the table for us to try and it was great. The ribs are to die for. Super tender with a fantastic rub. No sauce needed. Highly recommend.
LCs burnt ends (beef) were great. I brought home a slab of ribs and pound of brisket for the family and those were well received, as were my burnt end leftovers.
Rob (MCI777) suggested a monthly MCI happy hour which I think sounds great. Any other KC residents interested?

You can always fly in.
Just a quick post to say thanks the MCI777 for organizing another great DO. We went a little rogue after Brobeck's and didn't meet up with the group again due to time shift (LC's) or absence of desire to deal with chaos (which caused us to hit up the more quiet Foo's location). Still, was great to see folks again (or meet new ones), and much good BBQ was had.
Think I'm done eating, but might head out for some German beer...
