Thanks, it looks like a number of people will be at EWR at the same time on 2/17:

UA 18 MXP-EWR (dogloverjb, Mitz9060, rzamora) - 1:25 pm ET arrival
UA 65 LIS-EWR (slocouple) - 1:35 pm ET arrival
UA 121 BCN-EWR (klashn, Majuki) - 1:50 pm ET arrival

Assuming on-time arrivals, we'll all be getting in within 25 minutes of each other. I don't know if there are concessions landside in the arrivals hall, but I'd be up for a quick meetup if others are.

I was fortunate enough to have united allow me to go back home since i did not think we could be back in time for the turnaround in dubai. UA 976 ended up trying to bring a new plane but when i woke up this morning, flight was cancelled, so it looked like i made a good move for being proactive.i wonder if they cancelled due to lack of flight crew? How does one check?

If you have an ExpertFlyer membership, you can look up the reason. I can't make sense of some of the codes myself. :D

Time was when http://www.unitedcargo.com/ would give you more detailed status reports on past flights. Haven't tried it in a while.

I am on IAD-DXB-IAD next weekend and wanted to know what the upgrade offers at check-in could be? Does anyone have experience to share?

No experience with DXB, but I was offered $1799 TLV-EWR-IAH last week. I was not offered anything IAH-EWR-BOM.

Sorry I didn't see your post before we left or I would have stopped by. Nice landing in EWR eh? I wonder how much of the plane they broke with that landing! In the central lounge by gate 102 for about the next 20 mins. If anyone still around.

Since I'll only be there for 24 hours (arriving ATH-MXP on the 5th at 10am), I decided to stay in the city -- I booked the Adi Doria Grand Hotel via Rocketmiles for $117/night ($128 a/i), but there are probably better options.
