Interest in a Berlin DO Fall 2014?
 

Hi Folks,

after spending the past 3 months in the wonderful City of Berlin. I wanted to check if there would be interest in attending a DO in Berlin sometime in the Fall of 2014.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in attending!

Anything special going on in Berlin during the time you are looking at? Octoberfest, or something else?

I am looking at two different Dates Aug.29-31.2014 this works well with Labor Day in the US or Sept.19-21.2014. Oktoberfest starts on September 20 so that would work for people wanting to attend.

I listed a few of the major events happening during these dates: Berlin Biennale a contemporary Art Forum is running thru Aug.3, Long Night of the Museum might fall on one of the days in August, International Stadium Festival is on Aug.31, Viva la Musica is on Aug.30, Musikfest Berlin runs from Sept. 4-22, and Berlin Art week runs from Sept.16-21.

I'd vote for the Oktoberfest dates.

I think you will find that nighthawkrs already has a quote from the Hyatt for an FT Do - not sure on dates but might be worth asking him. He also considered Hamburg and Berlin twin centre.

Very interested, because Berlin is the hometown of my parents and it's such a colorful, interesting and inspiring city.

But unfortunately I do have other travel plans for the dedicated weekend.

Ich bin damit interessiert. Could the OP research as to when hotel rates are lower for the proposed dates across a number of programs like Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott?

MrsCRP and I were talking about Oktoberfest next year in MUC but only for first day or so. We'd be interested in the days before or after 20 & 21 so we can be in MUC for the tapping and early whatnot :) Have 4 SWU still untagged and DFW LHR/FRA would be a good use!

I think I might to do this.....

These dates are firm? Want to do this DO but may want to tag on a river cruise or tour pre or post.
