For anyone who had properly signed up by noon yesterday should now have your Santa assignments.
Few things:
1. Assignments were more difficult this year... many of you put substantial restrictions on assignments.... so it made it more difficult for me. Did my best. Unfortunately, it may mean some of you got a repeat from years past. I cannot avoid this after so many years.
2. Remember, you do not have to ship immediately. Remember, this is a holiday event... take your time and put thought into the gifts. Do make sure they will arrive by the holiday (Dec 25 or so).
3. Remember, you are expect to spend at least $50 before any shipping charges. Do not skimp on your gifts. You made a commitment; please follow through.
4. If there are problems with your assignments, let me know immediately.
5. Where possible, I suggest you do delivery confirmation so you can track arrival of your gift.
6. Remember to notify when you send your gift(s). You should include who you sent to, what you sent specifically and any tracking info.
7. Post in this thread when you receive your gift so your sender can see your reaction to the gift.
8. Remember, I do not disclose you to your Santee.

Wow, it is so interesting how differently people approach answering Wharvey's questions. Some with lots of ideas and some who will require some serious detective work to find them something personal. I am excited to start shopping. Thanks Wharvey for organizing such a fun event!

A bit of a tip, perhaps...
For those of us who have things shipped directly from a vendor or store, we may be unable to mark them as gifts or enclose a gift note (that may have happened to me today, for instance), and so you should be wary of opening anything that you haven't ordered, unless you want Christmas to come way, way early!

Early (Jewish) Holidays This Year
Given that I don't celebrate any holidays on 12/25, I expect that my gift will arrive by the last week in November. Sorry, Channukah is early this year
OK, OK, I guess I'll wait like everyone else

Maybe this is a silly question - I assume we notify you (wharvey) of the above and not our recipient. Can you confirm? Thanks!
