How about a Do in Australia

New edited post:
So, I'm going to Australia for the first time next week. I arrive in SYD on Sunday and am free Sunday and Tuesday evening. I'd enjoy meeting up with someone interested in sharing a walk, beer, dinner, etc. Having never been, I'd love to take advantage of some local knowledge rather than wondering around like a tourist.

I'm an early 30's male - if that's important.

"Sorry if not appropriate, but I couldn't find a spot on the site to post meet ups. For example, I'm traveling to a country I have never visited soon and would like to see if there is anyone willing to meet and share some of their country with me. Is that an appropriate request for this sub-forum?"

Thank you

This is the perfect forum, so please post your Do here (Do = meetup (but we don't call them meetups on this board :) ))

Just follow Sweet Willie's lead.

He posts invites for wherever his travels may take him! He was the force behind the first ever (to my knowledge) Toledo "let's meet for dinner" gathering. Not really fair to call it a DO :)

BTW, I meant to let you know, as a result of the Toledo Dinner Do, I picked up a couple of jars from the local market near my hotel of Tony Packo's Sweet Spicy pickles/peppers, me and the Mrs are now hooked, we love these things. So I expect I'll make another trip out to Toledo to pick up a case next time.:D

Thank you

If you ask one of the CommunityBuzz mods to change the title to reflect when you'll be in Sydney & are looking to meet up w/ folks for drinkies and/or meal, you might get a response from some of our Oz-based members. Have fun if you do!

Cheers.
