NYC Cinco De Mayo DO May 5, 2012
 

As there will be thousands of people descending on NYC for 5 d Mayo, I have taken the liberty of organizing a DO around one of the biggest bar crawls in the U.S. Breakfast will be held at Empanada Mama so that by 11am, we head dowtown to pick up our bracelets and enjoy the drinks. Very cheap beer and tequila all day at over 150 bars so there will be plenty of new people to meet, great food and drinks to be had, and great memories to creat. Sneakers and flats advised as I suspect there will be a good amount of walking.

welcome back to FT! ;) seems like you can buy a 2 day pass for about 8 bucks to get discounted drinks... it's only 2 bucks but then almost 5 bucks in convenience fees... :mad::rolleyes:

The fees are kinda whack but it more then pays for itself.

Damn...Cinqo de Mayo is my birthday & I live in NYC - but I'm flying to London that day!

I usually try to give a bit more then 5 1/2 weeks notice on my DO's...enjoy London!

Since I turn 21 this saturday (!) I totally want in on this -- except I'll be spending that day studying for finals :( Maybe another time... yall have fun and don't cause too much trouble!

I'm sure that I'll have plenty of homework to do for the next couple weeks until the end of the semester as well, so I can't take the day out for drinking unfortunately. Plus, the giant crowd of drunk people scene isn't really my bag. :( I get mad enough having to deal with all the screaming wasted college kids on St. Patty's when I'm trying to grab lunch!

I've never done an FT meetup, but might be game for this.
I have work in PHL 01-03May, and heading to my apt in Paris after that, but perhaps I could stay over for part of weekend in NYC and come play.
