This flight is full! No more "tickets" will be"sold"; registration is closed for the library; you can still ask about the meals, perhaps we can still get you space at our table.
Sorry, we are not offering VDB vouchers. Please check your name for accuracy (sorry it is hard to read, but the order of events from left to right is a registration, OCI, library, and Webers): Code:
HANDLE GENERAL COTTAGE LIBRARY WEBERS 34 for the library waiting list is: z003y, dlouise37, and capacutec; at least 1 of you will get in, but I suspect it will work out somehow for all of you. 19 for OCI 13 for Webers ?? for Panera (but you can just show up there) |
I forgot to add Sagy to the waiting list for the library, he'll be the last one on the list.
|

I want to make an offer to the attendees.
There are 3 rooms available in the Detroit airport area that will cost you $28.50 for Saturday night. This offer is not on any public site, it is an offer from me. Pool, hot tub, work out facility available. someone will probably be able to give you a ride but if you need it, Bikeguy: You could also just catch the regular bus back. I think the shuttle ends at 7 because the art fair ends at 6. We've never had to have anyone take public transportation back in the past though. If public transport was required, you'd take Route 7 from the Blake Transit Center, a few blocks toward Main Street for Cottage Inn. Also, for those that aren't familiar with the Art Fair before that traffic can be quite congested with the fair crowds and numerous closed off streets. For out of town attendees the cluster of hotels near the Briarwood Mall is one convenient area to stay in. There is a convenient shuttle between Briarwood Mall and the downtown area where the Art Fair and the Panera location for breakfast/lunch, the Library, and the Original Cottage Inn are. Info is in the brochure for AAAF: http://www.visitannarbor.org/pdf/2012.ArtFairBroch.pdf

Actually, AATA went in with Michigan Flyer, and the intro rate for AirRide is $10 each way thru July 30.
It will be $12 normally. http://detroit2020.com/2012/03/30/ne...metro-airport/ Go to MyAirRide.com. And the best part for locals is parking is $2 for up to 2 weeks! I will be getting on a train the Saturday morning of the DO, so I will be unable to attend. And if you are a senior citizen, $11 R/T. I'm implying nothing about the age of some of our past attendees. |
Carpool offers from the Original cottage inn Saturday night:

I can give a ride too. I will miss the Panera Saturday morning as I just scheduled a client meeting in Northville...which means I may be late for the meeting at the library...assuming I find parking in time:rolleyes:

Sign me up for the Miles and points discussion and the cottage inn dinner. I can also drive some people back to their hotel after dinner if they're staying in ann arbor.

Hey GrizShel, I won't be able to make the cottage inn dinner so unfortunately will not be able to give rides.

Parking?
Having attended the fair yesterday, which was a rainy weekday, parking was bad. For those that have been before, is there a recommendation on where to park? For both the Library and the Panera.
Prefer not to pay $20 like I did yesterday. Thank you, Frank (tazdmb) |

Everything on Saturday is in the same area we'll walk from Panera to the library to the Cottage Inn. You can take the Art Fair shuttle from Briarwood Mall. Hopefully there will be some others who can give you a ride back after dinner. Otherwise, take the bus 7 as explained abouve or join others to share a cab fare back to Briarwood Mall. The new underground parking lot next to the Ann Arbor public library on 5th street just opened at $12.00 per entry for all day parking. It is one block from one of the three art fairs. This new parking structure has that new multi-million dollar underground parking lot smell without the urine scent of our other local parking structures (although there is a giant "P" outside to apparently help guide the homeless where to pee in the stairwells.)
http://annarbor.com/news/ann-arbors-...ring-art-fair/ Looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow!- Rene |
A family emergency has arisen and I have to drive to Ohio this afternoon so I will have to miss the events tomorrow. Bummer on all accounts.
|
From what I can tell, there is not much interest in the lake day on Sunday, as such, I'll be cancelling it... maybe next year....

I'm going to miss you guys! |
