Seems there are 2 BW. Which one is closer to the events?
and how is the Privilege L'escale Marine?

Any chain hotels there?

just got the sad news from my +1 that now the TdF is not possible.

So, with much regret, please remove both our names from the maybe list.

Looking forward to hearing about the wonderful time we'll be missing...

Exclamation TGV tickets on sale !!!

almost all cheap TGV tickets are already gone for that weekend. hurry up! :-)

and there are some direct TGV to Paris which are NOT visible on bahn.de - I take TGV at 4pm on sunday afternoon. We will downsize sunday activities a little bit more due to not being enough people.

Lot's of decisions here. It sounds like the Angelterre is a bit nicer, but the Masqhotel is closer to the train station. Prices are now pretty much the same AFAI can tell. Under 100 EUR is quite acceptable IMO.
What do others think? How about Saturday activities, which one is better?

Is there any price advantage to buying round trip TGV tickets vs. 1-ways?

what about 2 persons vs. 1?

Thanks!

no advantage to buy r/t over 2 o/ws. Usually the same is true for 1 vs. 2 pax, but they sometimes have specials for 2 (don't see any right now).

Does that mean that you are staying in Nantes for two nights or just Sunday?

1 night only. I am taking the afternoon train from La Rochelle to Nantes and then a Monday late morning flight from NTE to MPL.

I now also have the BEST WESTERN Masqhotel booked. At 84 EUR it was a pretty good price. Will have another couple of weeks to decide which one to cancel.

Decided I will go with the original BW. Although further from the train station, it is a rate I pay at the hotel and I just got a nice promo from BW when I stay 2 nights ... so here we go
