I'd love to try to finally make a Soup Do, since I'm now working in NYC... BUT, I work from home on Friday - and I'd rather cut off a body part than drive out of the city on a Friday night in the summer

I will most likely make it to some part of the BRT depending upon the order of the meal stops.

I got my plane tickets today so I guess it's for real! I'm scheduled into EWR at 6:51 PM so if all goes well I'll be at LBS right on time. Let's hope it does.

It killed me to leave a certain almost 12 year FT buddy behind.
As I've old people over the years, if I can leave Catman behind, I can and will leave anyone. Good thing Randy was ontime last year. That was a decision I didn't want to make.

I have a good idea. @:-) Mary2e, since you're another very old online friend (1997), why don't you make all the lunch and dinner arrangements for me/us. I can use a food committee chair. It will be nice to take some of the pressure off.

Gladly, but as you know, one of those stops would be the Mill Basin Deli for some of the best Kosher, in store cured Pastrami and Corned Beef, in NYC ^^

Seriously, I'm more than happy to help. Just email

Mr. Kipper thinks he'll be home from his trip before Memorial Day, so I'm going to bow out, as no offense to anyone, but it just being a week or two after he returns home, I'd prefer to spend the weekend with him.

I would understand if you want a day without commuting after your horrendous daily commute to work, but if you can put up with that terribly long distance, I for one would enjoy seeing you there.

Is it too late to add me to the list? I'm a local and would love to take part in what seems to be the ultimate travel geek get-together
