I just registered. Looking forward to meeting other travelers. :)

Wow, I learned a lot at 2011. I'm glad the Paypal billing won't be cryptic like last year. Maybe next year I will get in early enough that I won't be in the overflow hotel, although I'm confident the transportation problems will be worked out this time.

Just registered. Is anyone in the 21-25 age range? Also, is there a vibrant nightlife after the days events? Either way, can't wait for October.

What early 30's is too old for having a good time? The hotel bar, Shelby Campbells is the top spot after the seminars. The have excellent drink specials. Friday night is my favorite with a bucket of 5 Corona's for $12 or $5 Patron Shots. Saturday is $3 U CALL IT's (Domestic Drafts & Bottles, Well Drinks & House Wine).

If sitting in the restaurant/Bar is too loud, you can take your bar drinks to the lobby for a quieter environment to discuss miles and more.

For those who wish to mix their own drinks, there is a liquor store about a 10 min walk away from the hotel.

I'm not sure about your preferences but a good close by nightclub is Hunters.

Indeed, and let me be the first to start the flood of "Registered!" posts. I am registered! :D

It will be nice to meet you. Good to know at least 3 BOS area mileage runners will be in the same place :)

Nothing wrong with an older crowd, in fact, based on several threads in the DL forum the older crowd may very well put me to shame. I am very excited to meet some fellow FTers. I am booked at the overflow hotel but I think there is a sizable number of use there to have some great discussions. The whole program looks great and choosing which sessions to attend was difficult.

Only a bunch of mileage runners would meet in a city 1000 miles away when they all live in the same rough area :D.

Just registered and I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow mileage geeks. Special thanks to FTG and TPG as I've learned a lot from following your blogs. ^

:Das you can see in Community Buzz, there are plenty of other opportunities to travel other places and hang out with fellow Flyertalkers, or if you prefer solo, check out the Mileage Run forum for ideas.

The link will go live in the first post of this thread at 8 AM March 1st.

Registration is $85 this year which includes seminar attendance, lunch both days and coffee breaks morning and afternoon.

We had to up the registration because the prices were increased by the hotel.

Can't believe I missed the start of the registration by more than 2 days.

If you need a volunteer to check people in on Friday evening, count me in again.

I went with a couple of the guys last year. It was fun, too bad the girls are there to avoid getting hit on by guys :(

Still awaiting my Fall tour schedule, but fingers crossed it finally works out this year! I was pretty bummed last year when I couldn't make it.

Few questions

I'm on the verge of registering and had a few questions:

1) I assume it is still worthwhile to go even if I can't attend the Friday night sessions, true or false?

2) How much knowledge is necessary to get the most out of the "advanced" sessions? I have been a regular reader on FT for a couple of years, so in the areas of my interest, I believe that I have more than "beginner" knowledge but am not an expert. I don't want to attend sessions that are way over my head, but OTOH, I don't want to attend sessions that are too basic or about topics that are less relevant for me.

3) Are the hotel and airline "breakout" sessions structured so that:
a) there is a general session applicable to all programs followed by a breakout where participants choose a single program (or alliance) for the remainder of the time
b) There is a general session followed by the opportunity to select more than one (non-concurrent) breakout sessions
c) There are breakout sessions (program/alliance specific) only?

4) Are there any hotels within easy walking distance of the host hotel, since it is fully booked, and past participants have indicated issues with the shuttle service from the overflow hotel?

Thanks!
