I flew over OK on 1521 SFO ORD and I had 3/4 bars of service on Verizon.

That is a toughie ! Me wife thinks I am crazy for doing 10 R/Ts in 13 days.

BTW we are on a common flt 1/25 2099 & 1372.22A 26F

Sent you a PM
My GF thinks that all of us FTers are crazy for flying for no other reason than miles on a bankrupt carrier.
But, as long as I can use my status (which I will have for 5 years once this is all done), and get 10+ EVIP's, then it's worth it.
As long as I meet deadlines for work assignments, by moss couldn't care where I am.

I think you gotta lay off the Krug a bit, AA_EXP09 -- or your "moss" might start caring!

Has there been a change to the cell phone policy?
On all departing flights worldwide, cell phones, laptop computers, two-way pagers and PDAs can be used until the aircraft door is closed and as soon as the flight lands. Use of cell phones is not allowed during flight per Federal Communication Commission rules.

Wait you had 3/4 bars while in the air for the whole flight?

Well, I finished my first MR this weekend! Upgraded on 7 of 8 segments. No delays nor cancellations!! I am doing the same this this weekend and hopefully the weather continues to be a non factor at SFO and ORD!

Your above statement is simply not true. So far, among our group of 143 flyers, our EXPs are getting upgraded 86% of the time, and our PLTs are at 47%. I don't know your definition of "pipe dream," but it's my belief that numbers like that certainly don't fit the standard definition of the term.

Now, if you're GLD (17% upgrade success), I'd agree with you that "pipe dream" is absolutely the appropriate term to use to describe your upgrade chances!
Are you comparing weekend U/Gs versus weekday U/Gs? That would be an interesting stat to know.
