Would appreciate someone knowledgeable choosing a place to meet/hang around. With enough Admirals Club members to guest us in, maybe we could meet there.

At some point I will compile a list by date and flight and put in the OP.
I use my CX membership to get into ACs domestically.

wanderlust

looks like we match on Pm run of 01/27 and on 01/28.
Wil try to wear a ITA Software baseball cap and CHICAGO DO shirt, if I remember. Or just look for the sleepy eye couple with mileage run hair, as my wife likes to call it.

Any thoughts about having DOS in ORD, considering there will be a few of us there too?

Sounds great to me. My schedule won't permit me to attend probably, so someone else please have a crack at it.

Maybe ought to go in a separate thread.

My wife and I will be doing these runs. I bought 3 tickets prior to DEQ11 (the ones with DFW) when AA was matching Virgin's $89 fare, a week latter they added the DEQ11 and I bought 4 more. Too bad the ones I bought prior do not count for the DEQ11, but at least I will get DEQAA on those.
On 2/4, which 2042 are you on? I'm also on the one departing technically 12:25AM Sunday morning 2/5, though I'm coming in from DFW. Like you, booked most of these before DEQAA showed. My body clock is going to be shot for most of this time, a 12:25AM departure from SFO is like staying up until 3:25AM ET!

Then there were the YVR-AMS MR's that I did with AA/BA......

Definitely should set up something in ORD too! Not familiar with the AA terminal in ORD - but I'm sure there's an AC.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I should have bought a Chicago Seminar shirt so that I had something recognizable. I'll be the girl wandering around dazed with a backpack and my trusty plaid neck pillow!

I'm thinking of doing a TR - The De-Evolution of Mileage Runners documenting our descent into madness over the course of the month.

I am well aware I am a lightweight when it comes to these compared to some others. If I had the time and money available I'd be MRing BOS-HKG in January at least once, nearly a full 12 hour time zone difference. Night is day and day is night!

And LAX for that matter. Though that'll be a less popular MR choice since it's 100 fewer miles to ORD and 200 fewer to DFW than SFO

Yes, I have 2 runs through LAX as well. Since I don't get DEQ11 I tried to vary each of my MRs and their routings a little bit. Different airports, different routings, different ACs, anything to break up some potential boredom!

Maybe we should designate a meeting point of sorts at each airport.

A coffee shop, a bar, a club?

I am down for that since I will be spending way more time on the ground in ORD than in SFO. I will be wearing my Chicago Cubs Cooperstown hat. Oh, and I dun have AC access cos I dun believe in paying a membership fee for access.

I have decided to get a 30-day Admirals Club membership for $99 starting 1/5/12.

I hope we have enough AC members to host others in at the airports, so tentatively let's settle on the ACs for the meetups, subject to revision.

If you are an AC member and can guest someone in, please PM me. I see this at aa.com: "Up to two guests or immediate family (spouse, domestic partner and/or children under 18 years of age) may accompany the member."

I'll start itemizing who will be at the airports at what times and put it in the OP, and later we can co-ordinate guesting into the Club, exchange cell phone numbers, etc.

Please check the OP for changes/updates.

I'm a definite lightweight by comparison - only one RT booked (so far....):

1/24 ORD-SFO AA 451 10:05A/12:50P
1/24 SFO-ORD AA 554 2:10P/8:30P

I can guest a couple folks in to the AC in SFO.
