I'm on AA2042 SFO-DFW tonight, supposedly departing at 12:25 AM. TripIt has sent me 3 messages in the last hour, with the latest estimated departure being 1:15 AM. Meanwhile, AA.com lists no such delay.

I've never used TripIt for delay notifications before. Should I trust it?

It's always great to meet another FTer! It still amazes me how many other "crazy" people are doing these MRs.

AA.com lists the delay now. 1575 was late out of Dallas.

y'all actually seem to be ENJOYING these runs for the most part! More power to you.

I think I'm #188 (PM'd my details to 2mil) on this list. Two back-to-back SFO-ORD runs this coming Saturday through Sunday.

It's showing a 0100 estimated arrival. A 0115 departure SFO-DFW might be a little optimistic.

Yup. One of my pet peeves with AA is that they often do this when an inbound flight is delayed: give an obvious undoable estimated departure.

Drat, looks like an extended wait at SFO for me tonight.
Can one of you dozen (!) folks on tonight's SFO-ORD kindly guest me into the AC? I'll probably be there around 10:45-11 PM, just in time to catch you guys before you leave.

Just got an email, called the EXP line and rebooked on 1521 at 815P with the UG clearing immediately.
I received a text at 5pmish and immediately called EXP, I was able to rebook on 1521 with original scheduled return on 1522. I hate tight turns! I hope all goes well. I was able to get upgrade to 3B! I will be in AC around 6ish, by computers. I will wear my south africa yellow/green lines adidas track suit.

ORC / Non-AA reroute EQM sweep update

For my ORC'd segment (AA 1341 ORD-SFO on 11JAN), the entire r/t itin associated with that IRROP'd flight has still NOT been DEQ11'd on the EQM side. But the ORC'd segment does appear to have been DEQAA'd on the EQM side.

Will need to speak with EXP desk tomorrow to confirm that what I think has happened has in fact happened, and that a correction to my IRROP'd booking needs to again take place (or I just need to get a courtesy EQM bump).

Recap: 11JAN AA 1341 ORD-SFO was canx due to mx; I was rerouted on UA metal to SFO. I was granted "exact flight line item ORC" (i.e., mileage credit posting reads as if I had taken the flight that in reality did not actually depart). AA 1341 was my r/t return leg, but since my PNR had been altered to show an AA outbound/UA return, I did not initially get DEQAA for the return, nor did I get DEQ11 for the outbound or return (since DEQ11 requires r/t itin on AA metal). Called EXP desk who transferred me to Advantage (honestly can't remember if it was CS or CR), rep said he had to "amend my booking" (presumably to "fake" the itin to make it appear as if the entire r/t was actually flown on AA metal). Oddly, even though none of the DEQ11 RDMs have posted since the 06JAN sweep, immediately after my record was amended, I received DEQ11 RDMs for the "amended" AA 1341 ORD-SFO leg, even though no other DEQ11 RDMs have posted for any r/t itins flown on or after 06JAN.

So good to meet everyone as well! WanderLuster, I'm still a bit shocked and awed, and amazed by all the folks I have been meeting on the circuit. Aussieflyer, many more to come indeed! Several folks on this flight as well back to ORD, and a few it seems on the early LAX flight! Time for some shuteye! G'night, everyone, and safe travels to all this evening!

And good morning red-eyers.

Glad I'm not turning right back around this morning. I'll have enough of that this weekend.

Good luck to everyone flying today!
