All the best and congratulations to the 3 of you.

Thanks all! We're still getting used to things... though I think I'll be saying that for about 18 48 more years. ;) It's certainly a change!

Didn't you have your iPhone in the delivery room?

I did, indeed... but I got some looks from the Mrs. every time I used it, so... :D

No, it was so anemic it couldn't have done any harm. :) I think it was the Indian food that did her in at the end...

Congratulations, and be sure to register him for the UA fleet-week events this weekend!

Would love to, but sadly, I don't think we can make it, for a variety of reasons... next year, though, hopefully! But don't worry, we'll bring him to a Do sometime soon. :)

Congrats, cepheid!

Now you have a very good reason to post more frequently on FT: holding µ-cepheid in those sleepless nights.

:D:D

ps. Do you have µ-cepheid's cute photos ready yet?

µ-cepheid arrived on Oct 3 at 7:56pm... he landed slightly early, after a reasonable flight, at optimal landing weight. Held up in customs for a couple of days, but back at home and resting comfortably now. Both pilot and passenger are doing well....

How on earth did I miss this? Well, better late (a month and a half late :o) than never, I guess, so....

:-::-::-: CONGRATULATIONS!!! :-::-::-:

(And I hope all three of you are doing well!)

We've got some photos but nothing quite "ready" for FT distribution... I'll see what I can do when I get a few moments. :)

Excessive travel, I would guess. :)

Other than a huge sleep deficit... yeah, pretty well. I don't think we'll be quite up to attending (or organizing) another EBDo until next year, but things are generally good.

I'm traveling to BZN next week for work... first time there. I've heard it's a really nice place. (And I'll be hitting 2P on my own for the first time... too bad my mother won't hit 175K, else she could nominate me to 1P, which would be really useful next year... oh well.) I'll try to post some photos when I get back.

Congratulations to you and yours! I'm sorry I'm late to the thread, but I wish you and your family well. How are things going now?

Y'know, it's not the sleep deficit that gets me (I've been a grad student; I can get by on little to no sleep ;)). It's being routinely awakened from a deep sleep that sucks. :)

I agree, the sleep deficit I racked up during my dissertation writing (especially the last month) is much greater than what I have now... but I haven't quite recovered from that one yet, so I'm getting the double-whammy. :p

For those who asked... here are a couple of pics:
