Great Random Encounter with iluv2fly
 

Had a great random encounter today with iluv2fly on my weekly commute from ORD-SFO.

I heard iluv2fly correct the FA as she told a pax that that 767 IPTE was the only UA aircraft where you can not store things at your seat in C or F. iluv2fly quickly told Cheri the FA that the 767 was not alone ... along with all of the 747's and 4 newly configured 777's. The FA looked at iluv2fly in shock and asked "how do you know this??" ... i quickly responded "he must read Flyertalk" ... and from there it was history.

iluv2fly : great meeting you and hope our paths cross again soon. You've inspired me to re-connect with Flyertalk and become more active. Hope to see you at a Chicago Do soon.

Careful. Once is a chance encounter. Twice and it's stalking.

He's 'run into me' on 4 or 5 flights now.

well, maybe the 3rd.

I think i'm 2for3 in random sightings in my last visits there.

Yeah, he gets around. He was stalking me in the lounge at CDG last year! But then, doesn't everybody? :) I just happened to be discreetly displaying the subtle and understated FT luggage tag on my carry-on bag at the time. It was very nice to run into him.

I had my very first meeting with iluv in a random way too :D. Myself and Mini DG were guests of honour at a dinner in SFO that my dear friend, goalie set up a few years ago now. Lo and behold we had a surprise guest who FLEW IN just for the dinner :).

Since then we have met in SYD & LAS in a less random way :p.

I am yet to say I have been "stalked" by iluv :D. There's always a first time I guess ;)

:) and we did have fun in having you guess who it was when he arrived (and he didn't take your dessert) ;) :D

Yes that is true :D. I do recall that I correctly guessed first go :p.

I've been posting sparingly as I make my way to 10,000. Normally, this wouldn't be a place to waste such a post, but since it's Marty...

Speaking of Random encounters... iluv2fly (if you're playing the percentages) ;) :p can usually be found in seat 1a on the BRT (see my signature below).

In spite of what UA staff thinks of him, he's always welcome on the BRT. ^

I think it's been too long since I've seen Mr Pillows. I have a lot of TATL in the next month, so my chances are pretty good.

Last summer ORD-LHR I was in the 1st row in C and Iluv was in 2A (gasp!) -- imagine the look on the FA's face when I told her I wanted to send my dessert up to the next seat in front. She leaned in and said "you know, they already have much nicer food up there!"

iluv2fly .... Thanks for the drink chits , I got one premium wine from the RCC. Then argued that it should just be 1 ticket!
