AH, okay, thank you for clearing up my misreading of the previous post on this question.

Guys, I have a quick question. Unfortunately I won't be able to fly TATL this time but will start at IAH. Could I just show up before the charter in the morning or would I need to be there the evening before? I will be very busy that week so it would help if I knew half a year in advance.

Thanks!

You can show up directly for the flight if you like.

We are working to present a 'final' schedule on May 17. Like last year getting someone to opene a booking site for us is proving difficult (again), so probably its going to be a pure announcement.

Private Jet Charter?

Anyone interested in chartering a G400 between SEA to IAH after the event? I've always wanted to sit in one of these next-gen Gulfstreams. This particular jet seats 9 passengers.

Sorry, no FF miles unless we use Delta Air Elite.

How about posting the price as well.
I'm guessing it would cost you close to $50,000. Split that 9 ways.

?? It generally costs about $2.5-3k an hour to rent one of these private jets. Thus, it'll be about $1k/person for such a charter.

I would be interested, but only if the price is around 1000$, which would be unheard of. I posted a link to executive jet managements website. It tells you the average hourly price and a g4 is around 5900$.

Whoops for some reason I thought I had pulled somewhere that a G400 sat 9 ppl. It seats 13, which is probably more than we'd need.

What about the G100? Seats 8, and according to that chart is $3000. These are averages, of course, and my understanding is that the business jet market is still somewhat depressed.

If you seriously consider doing something like this i would be in. I suggest you get estimates from different charter operators to have some exact number.
Then start a new thread to see if there would be enough interest in doing something like that. I dont know if the hourly price quoted on that website includes ferry fees, catering etc. because that would be additional $.
