I'm definitely an amateur FT'er, but I'm in and out of RNO every other week and would be up for a gathering.

Sorry for the delayed response - I've been stuck in DC with sporadic internet access.

Okay, let me take a look at dates for other upcoming DOs and I'll figure out a date. I was thinking something in March. Tjgraham - when will you be in Reno? Any restaurant suggestions? Perhaps I can see if we can arrange a tour of the brand new control tower at RNO. I have a few contacts over there.

I am free to fly up for the day most of the first half of March. Post a date and I will see if I can make it.

I may also make the drive (or if WN is being generous, flight) up there. Let us know when you have confirmed dates!

Where we all live may also identify some locals.

Carpool? I would hate to miss out on rental car bonus miles and put all that wear and tear on a car that you own ;)

I'm back in Reno next week and will be keeping a mostly every-other-week schedule until likely June-ish. Mid-week works best for me. I'm embarrassed to say that in 11 yrs of business travel to RNO I have yet to try an Awful Awful, so that's something I have to check off my list at some point. One option that my colleagues and I really enjoy is the bar area at Charlie Palmer's in the Grand Sierra. It's nice yet casual and the appetizers are awesome and reasonably priced. We hit that place for a tapas-style dinner pretty regularly.

Or we could take my company car that they pay the gas on! ;)

Sound like a LAS-RNO-LAS road trip is in order.

El Dorado / Silver Legacy / Circus Circus : Brew Brothers or Roxy
Actually, any of the non-Sparks casinos could work since they all have shuttle service
