Which statement month will a refund count toward?
My Prestige card has the retention offer for $50 credit after $1500 spent. I've been getting this for the past few months but now I'm worried that I'll miss it in February due to a technicality.
My statement closed on 1/25 and so far I'm on track for $1500 for February 25 statement. However, I returned an item >$800 on 1/27 (this statement). The purchase was made on 1/19 (last statement). Will this $800 credit count against my 1/26-2/25 spend? Or against the 12/26-1/25 spend? I got the $50 credit on 1/25 and spent over $1500 even without counting the $800 item, but I don't think I'll spend as much this month.

But I see your point. That means I now have to spend $1500 + $800+. I will have to see if it's worth MSing that last several hundred.
