How much did the Citi Prestige 4th night free benefit save you in 2017?

I was just getting some of my tax stuff together and was curious as to how much the Citi Prestige 4th night free saved me in 2017.

Pulled up my Citi Annual Summary.....

...and I received $1,849.99 in Hotel Night Rebates for 4thnightfree in 2017.

What a FANTASTIC return on my $350 Annual Fee!!!!

Looking forward to seeing some of your replies!

Yowch - zero for me, apparently.

I actually did have one stay that made it worthwhile, but the credit didn't come until 2018.

Nice job there!

$2,513.33 on 4 trips: Aruba Ritz, Scarlet Huntington SF, The Betsy (Miami) and Fairmont Hamilton Princess Bermuda.

Two of these trips were in suites with the family so this is a big help. And the Scarlet Huntington 4th night rate was almost 3x ($824) the other nightly rates, so I lucked out there.

According to my wife, we wouldn't be traveling this much if it weren't for the 4th night free, so to her having this card is a net cost. But that 4th night can actually help out in other ways- extending your trip to a 5th day to get a longer stay promo rate (Ritz & Fairmont). At $100 net cost for Citi Gold/Priority, I'll be holding and using as long as this feature remains intact.

I managed to save $2,400 this year with the 4th night free benefit. I had some big stays this year and this benefit was great. Hyatts in honolulu, london, new orleans and paris were all $500+ a night. The best part is that I get 4 nights of stay credit, points and the rooms can be upgraded. Also I could get corporate rate, elite rate on these stays.

About $2200 on 7 stays. A couple of those were really 9-night stays that we broke up into 3 parts (4 nights - 1 night - 4 nights).

I only got it in August and prepaid a room for next week , technically I haven't got the credit yet even though the prepayment was in November, does that count? But then only 128$

"saved" is kind of misleading for me though. I occasionally stayed a 4th night just because it was free. I usually don't like to stay at the same place for 4 nights. It seems too long.

$435 on two stays for our wedding in Cancun. And, slightly off topic, $389 in Price Rewind credits for various items purchased for our home remodel.

I rarely stay 4 nights consecutively at the same property... $400 last year, Conrad Sanya. I closed my card.

The savings, 3x points, and $250 airline credit make it worth the fee.
