This is a continuation of the original discussion HERE.

Book online at thankyou.com or by phone at 1-877-288-2484 7/24.

Starting September 1, 2019 the complimentary 4th night benefit can be used up to two times per calendar year. Bookings made prior to September 1, 2019, will not count toward your two-stay cap for 2019. Starting September 1, 2019 bookings for the 4th night benefit must be made exclusively by visiting thankyou.com or calling 1 800 THANKYOU. Citi Concierge will no longer handle new 4th night benefit bookings but will continue to support bookings made prior to September 1, 2019. To utilize your benefit through our online travel site, and/or have the option to use your ThankYou points, please visit thankyou.com, select travel in the top menu bar, select hotels, choose hotel designated as “Complimentary 4th Night Eligible”, book at least 4 nights, see savings at checkout.
Starting for reservations made on or after July 23, 2017, this benefit will give you the average nightly rate on stays of 4+ nights, and will NOT include taxes.

Reimbursement times vary but seem to have improved in 2017, now about 2 weeks is most common. See this thread
for details.

The Citi Concierge has to book the lowest rate available over the total stay--it can include a package only if it is the lowest possible rate.

I recently booked Andaz Maui and was quoted the Members Advance Rate for 5 nts. The csr mentioned they have the option of booking a package through Hyatt Prive (free breakfast and guaranteed upgrade) if it is the cheapest rate--which it ended up being and included a 5th night free.

Citi Prestige has access to Hyatt Prive rates? That's great news.

Surprise for me also. But truly great news if they have access to Hyatt Prive

Apologies if this as already been asked. On vacation now and don’t have time to browse through pages.

I’m on a 4th night free booking right now and have over $600 Worth of incidentals. Can I pay for my incidentals w/ a different credit card and put the room rate+tax on the Citi Prestige and still get 4th night free?

If the hotel doesn't screw it up, sure. I had a hotel screw up billing in the past and it took a few hours for me to untangle it.

Yes, you can pay for it separately but like ralphs said, may be tricky. The hotel needs to apply the charges towards the incidentals and leave the charges for the nights intact.

Anything different on the folio and Citi may back out of the refund.

Just made a booking for an AC Hotel in Madrid. Regular Marriott member rate was 108/night and they had a package rate inclusive of breakfast for 110/night. Even though its 2 more, they wont book the Package rate as the reimbursement would be at risk

are you saying they need to put the incidentals on a separate bill? If I do that, will I lose out on the hotel points. I now have over $700 in incidentals and have two $60 off $300 AMEX offers for SPG. I just want to charge $300 to my AMEX Platinum, $300 to my SPG AMEX, and the rest (which is still much higher than the base rate+tax) onto my Citi Prestige. Wouldn’t Citi just see that a charge higher than the room rate + tax has been made and credit the 4th night free?

it’s a pretty standard hotel practice to be able to move the porn & mini-bar charges onto their own folio
ralphs likes this.

So I guess I should move $600 worth of incidentals onto a separate folio? Will the separate folio earn points at the same rate as the main folio at SPG properties?

do you really think that if by some odd software glitch the incidentals points don't post that a manual request to SPG for credit would be denied?

Yeah, Colin is right. Tell them you need the night charges on one folio for "accounting" purposes or for your job to reimburse you...or whatever excuse you can think of. Pay that with the Prestige.

And once that is out of the way, pay the rest how you wish.

Thanks guys. I got two folios at checkout. One w/ room rate, tax and resort fee and the other w/ incidentals. I asked for printouts showing the Prestige paying all of the room/tax/resort fee. The second folio shows the incidentals and a split payment between my 2 AMEX cards. If anything goes wrong, I have printouts to prove my case.

Can anyone shed more light on the 4NF booking process with Hyatt Prive rates/upgrades? Is it an official partnership with Hyatt Prive?
