Credit Line Increases
This is very odd, but according to the Chatbot on the website:
Q. When requesting a credit limit increase, is the credit inquiry a hard or soft credit inquiry?
A. Unfortunately, until we process the request, there isn't a way for us to know if a credit line increase request will be a soft or hard hit on your credit report. For this reason, we have to receive your permission to pull a copy of your credit report before we process the increase request. If you process the request online, you will see a message stating "By submitting this form, you authorize Citibank, N.A. to obtain your credit report."

To request an increase online:
In order to request an increase, you will need to go to your Credit Home page, and find Available Credit at the top of the page. Then, click on the link that says Request Increase to begin the process.

Have pretty much the same offers going currently as the rest of you.
10x TY points for GGR (round 2 - oct/nov/dec) - min $600/mo max $1250/mo
15x TY points for Travel (nov/dec/jan) - min $750/mo max $800/mo
10k TY points for $2k spend (round 2 - nov 15->dec 14)

Already earned 209k points this year plus $300 in statement credits (not including not-posted ones) on ~$21.7k spend - good for about a 12% return. Plus the regular 0% 18mo purchase thing if it's over X amount. This card remains mind blowing to me - only other semi-comparable card I've known about is the Driver's Edge and maybe the Marathon card. Especially since it started as a plain store card that I regretted signing up for back in 2010.

On another note, does anyone have any experience with buying an airline gift card on the airline website to meet the travel spend out of curiosity? Family has two regular trips outside of the current booking windows and this seems like an opportunity given the travel bonus seems a bit intermittent (and weighted towards end of year usually).

I did that in November through Delta's gift card system. It does show up differently than Delta's normal booking system does (DELTA CSTAR GFTCD) w/ Merchant Category N/A. I'll see if I earn my bonus for November (I won't meet the threshold if that charge doesn't count as travel).

FWIW, Delta gift card purchases DON'T count for 2x miles on the Delta SkyMiles Platinum Amex which I was disappointed to learn the hard way.

I have $70 for $1000 and $40 for $1000. $40 one I normally wouldn't do, but it's in conjunction with a 10% GGR so might as well.

I have a ton of simultaneous offers at the moment:
  • 10x bonus on grocery, dining, and gas for spend between $1.2k-$1.5k
  • 20x bonus on home improvement from now until 12/31, spend $1k-$1.5k
  • 10,000 points for $2k spend 11/15-12/14
  • 10x bonus on travel spend between $1k-$1.3k
Combined with my Premier TY account, this is the gift that keeps on giving. So far in 2022, I've earned 350k TY points with the Sears Citi alone.

Ahh the home improvement one - had that twice earlier in the year! Good for some new doors...

Yeah the Premier or Double Cash is a good pairing for the cash out now that Citi hit that hard. We're up to two Rewards+ for the bonus as well. The AT&T Access More is another great Citi card we hold onto.

Thanks for being the Delta guinea pig! I've got my travel bonus for Nov used, but was keeping an eye out for Dec/Jan, albeit we use Southwest and not Delta.

I converted all of my Citi cards (DC, Premier, Preferred, Rewards+) to Custom Cash, I kept Prestige, AT&T AM and Sears.

I returned a $500 purchase made 11/10. The credit showed up to my account on 11/17. Do I still just need to spend $1000 to get my spend $1000 get $70 statement credit 11/15-12/14 offer or will I need to spend $1500?

Pretty sure you'll have to spend $1500 per the terms -
