Possible to Get a Citi Contactless Prestige Card?
I'd like to get a contactless Prestige card if possible.
Citi customer service told me it was only available on the American Airlines World Mastercard.
Anyone have any different information?

Citi had been issuing contactless stickers, see discussion here:

...but if I recall correctly this was recently terminated. I have not seen any indication is this is a step toward issuing them embedded in the card itself, or abandonment in favor of smartphone payment.

PayPass will no longer be available on your Citi Prestige
I have used the PayPass contactless sticker pushed to the bottom of my wallet for years. I now have Apple Pay, but still appreciate the simplicity of just tapping my wallet to pay. I received this message from Citi in June:
PayPass will no longer be available on your Citi Prestige®
As of July 16, 2016, PayPass will no longer be available on new or replaced Citi Prestige® accounts. If your existing PayPass sticker is lost or damaged after that date it cannot be replaced. Please note that the PayPass functionally will continue to work on your current Citi Prestige® card until the expiration date on the card.

Looks like it might be time to resurrect this thread as I just saw some on info on DoC that Citi is now issuing new cards with contactless chip. I really do want to get a contactless version for my prestige. Was wondering if anyone who received a new or renewal prestige card got the contactless version ?

The Uber card is great for straight cash back but I value the points much more than 1 cent. Also I need a card to hold my TYPs anyways I guess.

Same here. I just got the DoubleCash for the 2x TYP and dining is one of my biggest dining category so I figure out the $250 net AF is worth it for now so I can keep earning and park my TYP. Especially *if* I can take advantage of the 4th night free benefits which is still an "if" for me as I find the hotel pricing on thankyou.com seems to be inflated. I may consider PC to the Premier if things do not work out as expected next year.

So you pay $495/year just to get 5% back on restaurants?
You either vastly overspend on restaurants each year (which means you're spending way more than just saving some of that and putting into an investment account), or you don't realize the AMEX Gold gives you 4x on restaurants and grocery stores for $250/year plus money towards GrubHub.
The 4th night free is useless... You pay more to book through Citi's portal which is more expensive per night and don't earn/use any parks associated with the booking.
I would reconsider and find another card.
