Be vary careful with all of that, and AFAIK you will be fine getting the extra certificate and the status.

So if you spend $20K at Supermarkets, Drug Stores, or Gas Stations with the Citi HH Visa card, you'll get 60K points. But if you spend $20K on the Citi HH Res card anywhere, you'll get the same 60K points, and if you do it within the required time frame, you'll also get a free Weekend Night Certificate. Call me crazy, but I'd rather have them both.
Yes, but of course

Should I keep my Hilton Reserve Card? Just got hit with $95 fee. They offered me 750pts/mo for $750 spending.

So if I spend 10k I would get a free night certificate and 39k points - the $95

Vs Citi 2% Card where I would get $200.

I'm currently Hilton Diamond btw. The other option is to wait 16 months and reapply..

Their retention offer to you is a joke, IMO

So would you cancel and wait the 15 months?

Yes. You can always do the other Citi card or the AMEX Hilton cards if you want more points.

retention offer is terrible for sure. It rarely makes sense to collect HH points instead of cashback. I collect HH because I'm headed to conrad maldives

You should also factor in the free night certificate that you would not receive if you cancel now (assuming you made 10K purchase the past year). Hilton points are not that bad if you redeem for the right properties.

Speaking of the AF, did anyone else recently receive this gem of an e-mail?

"We charged you an annual membership fee without prior notice
We discovered that we failed to include a statement message on your Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Reserve account notifying you of the annual membership fee the month before we billed it. We apologize for our oversight.

If you want an annual membership fee refund
Contact us at 1-888-856-4255 (TTY/TDD: 1-800-325-2865) if you want a refund of the annual membership fee(s) and any related fees and interest charges. If you request a refund, the account will be closed.

We hope you're enjoying the wide array of benefits and features that come with the annual fee and look forward to your continued card membership. No action is needed if you want to continue as a Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve cardmember.
Thanks for the opportunity to serve you
We're working around the clock to create financial solutions and services that are simple and responsive. Feel free to contact us if you have suggestions or questions."

What do you think of this? Seems a cross between an apology with a dose of but we really don't care to me.

I did get that email on one of our four accounts. Strangely, having taken the time to check back, it was not correct. The account we received it on had the statement message on my March statement and the fee was on the April statement. No idea what they are talking about.

Same here. I received the email this morning regarding my HHonors Reserve card, but checking my old statements, the message was printed on the statement preceding the one on which the annual fee was charged.

I got my card a couple of months ago. Any idea how much time it takes for the $100 credit to post to the account after the stay? Thanks!

hello guys.......iam planning for hilton conrad maldives in 2016 dec or 2017 jan.

This is the plan to achieve the goal for 7 days stays

1) Apply for citi HH Visa sign card get 2 night certificates in feb / march 2016
2) MS for 40k to reach diamond . Points earned 40*3= 120k + 25% gold = 150k points
3) MS for another 50 k . Points earned 50 *3=150k + 50% diamond = 225k
4) Use 2 night certificates + 375k points for 4 nights + 5th night free for diamond status

free upgrade may not be available for diamond in conrad maldives. But may use venture miles or barclay miles for paid upgrade.

Since its a visa credit card , it will be easy for me to do walmart bill pay using simon gift cards.
Will citi be ok to do 10 k / month MS on this card.
I also MS around 5k for month on thank u point earning citi cards

Does it sound like a plan? Any suggestions ?

I am not interested in Amex cards, bcoz i may not be able to do MS on amex cards , FR issues and no bill pay in walmart
