Will hit 3x 10k on 3 reserve cards next year and would have done an additional 10k but glad to know I shouldn't bother. I will hit 40k on one card this year and have diamond till Mar 2017. Will be burning most of our HH points next year. atleast the gold that comes with the card is better than any status you get with another CC.

it's funny that although i like spg and hyatt, i end up staying mostly with hilton due to the gold benefits and # of locations.

$100 credit

So does $100 have to be spent to get the $100 credit or can you get that credit if you stay at Hilton that costs less than $100.

I learned this the hard way, it has to be one single transaction that is $100 over greater. Several <$100 transactions won't do.

Are all the links for the $100 statement credit offer dead?
Can anyone confirm if the first link on the wiki is for the $100 statement credit offer?
If you read the fine print below, there's no mention of such credit so I think that application may be for the regular card.

I was able to get the $100 statement credit offer to appear when I pretended to go through the booking process. It happens on one of the last screens. You do not have to actually complete the booking.

I tried that but the only offer I'm getting now when making a booking is for an Amex card and a $50 statement credit.

Are you able to post the link of the offer you received?

This happened to me, because the hotel decided to divide all my transactions in 3 <$100 transactions. I contacted via SM, explained the situation and they gave me the $100 nevertheless.
I might have helped (or not) that all the transactions were from the same hotel on the same exact date.

Now that I've status matched to Hilton Diamond, is there any reason to keep this card? I'm not going to meet the 10k spend for the free night.

How long did it take for the match? I'm still waiting for a word from HHonors and it's been forever.

I applied within a few hours of the opportunity and just heard back a few hours ago. Got matched to Diamond with SPG Gold and IHG Spire. SPG Gold was earned with a credit card, had 2 paid stays with Starwood. IHG Spire was earned by converting 75k virgin atlantic miles to IHG points, had 0 paid stays with IHG.

^^

Me too, they matched to Diamond an hour after I posted that. I had Spire Elite from the IHG card's bonus points and Gold with Carlson and their card too. Now, what I really want is SPG Platinum or Hyatt Diamond. We love breakfasts at the hotel, so it's a huge benefit for us.

Do you know who to contact at SPG for a match to Platinum?
