Citi just sent me my AA Platinum card and I opened up a Citigold checking account a few days ago. I haven't funded the Citigold account yet with the AA card.
Hopefully this isn't a dumb question, but when I complete the Citigold requirements, are the points going to automatically go into the AA account that is linked to my AA Plat card?

I have seen posts about an eligibility requirement that you must have a Citi AA card to get the Citigold AA promotion.
The wiki says:
The wiki states: "CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard - Will not load and loads as cash"
But, does having the business card at least make me eligible for the offer?

Opened 2 Citigold accounts online last Sunday 2/7, wife and myself. Monday 2/8 notified Citi of large purchase on 2 TY Premier MC's, also set CA to zero. Today, 2/9 at 9:05am called in to fund citigold with premier MC and CSR submitted $9k transaction. CSR could not confirm or verify if transaction was accepted.
Today, 2/9 Wife called to fund with exact same scenario at 12:15pm, CSR informed that CC funding is no longer accepted. HUCA. Next CSR confirmed that CC funding has been shut down effective immediately. Wife said that "she called at 9am to ask about CC funding process, it was allowed and I could call back when I have my CC handy". CSR apologized for conflicting info from citi reps, and that this took effect today, no exceptions can be made.
RIP citigold.

OP claims CA set to ZERO......does it help leaving $100-$1000CA on Citi CC?
Anyone have luck today?

Will you fund this with $50K to avoid fees or pay the $90 fees to keep account opened 5 months?

Bummer...i got my Advantage Platinum yesterday. Was going to open the account today.
The CC funding is dead. I can still open the account and fund the account traditional way and get the miles? I read the offer and it does not say anything about minimum funding requirement of a certain amount or such.
