Just saw this. Intriguing option, as I've been trying to decide what to do with my TYP balance.

Not a bad option but VS miles are so easy to earn. Unless one has immediate plans to redeem, I wouldn't bother with it.

Some of the theoretical redemptions, even with the YQ, don't look that bad.

East coast to o/w LHR for 17.5k with YQ, or Delta r/t to UK from some of their hubs for 40k, with no YQ.

I was mulling it over. The SFO > LHR direct for 22.5k also seems good.

But it looks like in the VS forum there is a constant litany of the difficulty in partner redemptions. Has to be done over the phone, and there doesn't seem to be a way for the VS agents to see what people are seeing for partner availability via Alasaka or ANA sites.

VS Transfer

Did anyone who transferred to VS have a new VS account? I'm wondering if that will make my transfer take longer. Thanks!

One more question. Does the status on Citi online change from "in progress" to something else once the points are sent?

Thanks!

The ANA partner mileage based award chart (similar to ANA old chart) looks good. Anyone has experience doing this?
