I have now had time to read the linked blog post. I see that the bonus will be applied by the airline after the points are received, rather than by Citi. I don't think this puts any pressure on Chase to offer bonuses, because it is the airline which is administering the promotion. (Citi has run two transfer bonuses to Hilton. I do not recall any previous airline bonuses.)

Anyone successfully do this yet? I have hit my spend but I haven't paid the bill yet. How fast will the points hit if the bill is paid, I know this ends May 15 and wanted to transfer towards that.

ThankYou points post automatically when the credit card statement is generated. Paying the statement balance does not affect the timing.
