All payments coding as online are hit and miss. Sometimes it codes as online, sometimes it doesn't. YMMV.

of course, I'm assuming this 2% card of yours is a MC, otherwise, you actually lose money using radpad.
Your math only works if the person has both the Access More and Prestige cards.

We assume that it's exactly $10 000 in spend on rent through RadPad with a RadPad fee of 1.99%.

Costs:
$350 Prestige annual fee
$95 Access More annual fee
1.99% RadPad fee = $199

Benefits:
$250 annual airline credit
Points from $10 000 + 1.99% fee = 10 199 points
Points from anniversary bonus for spending $10 000 = 10 000 points

Total points: 20 199
Total point value at a rate of 1.6 cents per point: $323.184
Point value + airline credit = $573.184

Net cost:
Point value + airline credit - Prestige annual fee - Access more annual fee - 1.99% RadPad fee
$573.184 - $350 - $95 - $199 = - $70.82

That's negative $70.82, a net loss.

Contrast using a straight 2% MasterCard with no annual fee. $10 000 * 1.0199 = $10 199. $10 199 * 0.02 = $203.98. $203.98 - $199 = $4.98.

That's a net gain of $4.98 versus a net loss of $70.82.

None of this takes into account the signup bonuses, which are reason enough to get the cards.

Admittedly, my math may be wrong. But that's what I got and how I got my numbers.

I guess you missed my post then. The whole post revolved around having BOTH prestige and at&t.

And your math is wrong and made out to be far more complicated then it really should be.

You really don't need to run numbers to figure out if the combo is profitable or not. For instance,

If you use DC you make a net profit of 0.01%. In other words, you'll make $1 for every $10k spend.

Does Access earn you More (pun intended) than DC? Yes. So, is it going to be profitable?

Does AT&T+Prestige combo earn you more to a point that it'll overcome the AF and some more? It should.

Disclaimer:

1) assume you have AT&T and Prestige

2) assume you're going to redeem for travel via transferring points and/or redeeming for AA. Otherwise why even have prestige?

I didn't miss that. I was making it explicit in my calculations.

And your math is wrong and made out to be far more complicated then it really should be.
Okay, then show how it's wrong. You haven't done that. I'll accept it if you explain how I'm wrong.

You really don't need to run numbers to figure out if the combo is profitable or not. For instance,
Yes, you do need to run the numbers. This is a question of numbers. Yes, you need to do actual calculations to find out calculations.

If you use DC you make a net profit of 0.01%. In other words, you'll make $1 for every $10k spend.
This is wrong. The 1.99% fee is rolled into the total amount charged. That means you earn 2% even on the 1.99% fee. That means that you earn $4.98 for every $10 000 that you spend, a net gain of 0.0498%. In this case, you're wrong by a factor of almost five.

That's the point of running the numbers. If you don't, as you didn't, you end up getting wrong answers.

Does Access earn you More (pun intended) than DC? Yes. So, is it going to be profitable?

Does AT&T+Prestige combo earn you? Is is going to be profitable?
Yes, and this is why you need to run the numbers. How else are you going to decide if something is profitable? Are you just going to go based on gut feeling without running the numbers? Gut feelings don't work in computing profits. If they did, the stock market would be so much easier.

Disclaimer:

1) assume you have AT&T and Prestige

2) assume you're going to redeem for travel via transferring points and/or redeeming for AA. Otherwise why even have prestige?
Yes, and even when you assume all of this, it turns out the math doesn't work out in your favor. Point out where in my math I was wrong, and I'll accept that. You can't just say "you don't need to run the numbers" and then try to base your justifications in profit, something that is inherently numbers.

Edit: The only issue is whether it gets 3X on RadPad transactions. There's one report of such, but I haven't found others. But that's why I wanted to do the math. I showed what my assumptions were explicitly. I'll accept being wrong if the 3X is what you based your calculations on, but you would need to make that at least somewhat more explicit for that to be understood.

FYI, I received an email from Citi today advising that I was approved for the ATT Access More card and the credit limit. The account is considered open as of today, according to the email. This is the card I applied for Saturday with runb4fun's link. FYI, there is also an active link at the bottom right of the att.com web page. Email said I would have the card in 7-10 days.

venmo as online payment?

Has anyone tried using venmo with this card? wondering if it will count as an online transaction. would be an easy way to generate TYP for free.

Can you please think a little bit before you throw some numbers?

Why on earth would I do calculations for 10199 when I can do it for 10k?
Hint #1: One of them requires calculator while the other requires mere second of thoughts.
Hint #2: Assume 10k is your rent after radpad fee.

I already ran the numbers. I posted it here (or at reddit) at certain point. The profit, as I stated in previous page, comes out to be 242 after all fees are subtracted.

I think I saw a data point saying Venmo did not give 3x. If it worked, it would be pretty amazing.

Where in the link do they mention $650 credit towards the purchase of an AT&T phone?

I did think. I provided all of my starting points and processes.

Why would you be more accurate when you can be less accurate? That's basically exactly what you said when you asked why you should use $10 000 or $10 199. The answer is because one is more accurate! Who cares if you have to use a calculator or not? One is more accurate than the other. If all you want to do is avoid using a calculator, we might as well tell everyone to use 3 as the value of pi.

And your hint #2 is actually worse. Your own argument goes against you. If $10 000 is the amount after the fee, you would have to make calculations using the amount in principal, $9804.88. You made the math worse your way.

It's not posted within this thread that the card earns 3 X at Rad Pad. I specifically had looked through the thread before my first post here. Within all the time this thread has existed, we were the first ones to start talking about Rad Pad.

As I said, I'm completely willing to accept being wrong given that there's evidence that it earns 3 X with Rad Pad. However, that evidence was never presented here, and I had to search to find anything about it. So it's not like it's reasonable to expect people to know everything you've said in a completely different site.

I'm saying I do believe it. However, it's not "all over the net". It was posted earlier this month. All I'm saying is that it wasn't reasonable to expect people to know all of your assumptions in a statement, especially when one of those assumptions is a big part of your statement and there's barely any indication of what that assumption could be.

Yep. They always pull both for me, and I think it's pretty standard for most states.

I've always gotten both EX and EQ pulled when applying for a Citi product here in Delaware. It sucks.
