Which websites qualify for 3X points?

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on purchases made at eligible retail (including department store websites, specialty store websites, warehouse store websites and boutique websites) and travel websites (including online travel agencies, and hotel and airline websites).

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on products and services purchased directly from AT&T, including payment of monthly phone, cable or internet bills.

You'll earn an Anniversary Bonus of 10,000 ThankYou Points after you spend $10,000 in purchases in the prior cardmembership year.

Special note about eBay and PayPal - varies widely as to whether the bonus points are awarded. It seems to vary depending on merchant with no real discernible pattern.
(Ref, Ref, Ref, Ref, Ref, Ref, Ref, Ref, Ref)

Certain Non-Qualifying Purchases. You wont earn 3X Points for purchases of and payments for medical services, insurance, taxes and government services, real estate, real estate rentals, purchases or reloading of prepaid or gift cards, education, charities and utilities.
You wont earn 3X Points for purchases from independent wireless dealers, non-AT&T-owned stores, or AT&T resellers unless you are paying for an AT&T service, such as your phone, cable or internet.
(Effective 9/22/2019)

All payments coding as online are hit and miss. Sometimes it codes as online, sometimes it doesn't. YMMV.

Thanks! It looks like pretty much any phone they sell.

It'd be funnier if they had to hat tip your Slickdeals username ;-)

Cheers

You are taken to the account login page. You login, and then are taken to what appears to be the normal shopping page for either a new or replacement phone.

Postpaid Plans w/o contract

I am interested in the free phone offer but would want to switch the phone over to Google's new service as soon as possible. I am not familiar with ATT's postpaid plan options, however. Does ATT offer no contract postpaid plans? Are there any that you would recommend? Thanks.

heres a data point for you guys. I just got my card in the mail today, activated it, found the link under my offers on the citibank website, followed the link to the att website where i activated the offer and bought a phone using the "replace my phone" option. Received an email from att immediately, stating:

Here's more information if you're replacing your phone.

This purchase will not affect any existing contract. Your upgrade eligibility will not change.

Here's more information if you're replacing your phone and are on the AT&T NextSM plan.

This purchase will not affect any existing contract. Your upgrade eligibility will not change. You will continue to be on your AT&T Next installment plan and will still be responsible for the remaining monthly charges.

Thank you for choosing us,
AT&T

pretty simple, and fast. ^

Yes as stated earlier in the thread. Citi is going to pull for the CC.
As an AT&T customer I know they will pull for a new account opening with a new phone purchase. The only way around AT&T is if you put down a $100-200 deposit on the account that they hold for 6 months.

Can you get the $650 credit and then cancel before first year AF $95?

I have an Amex PGR so I don't want to have two AF cards...

There you go, I actually had a few readers let me know about it first but an extra link never hurts.

Double hard pull and full price phones doesn't do much for me. Waiting to see how generous the online stores coding is before jumping in.

This post contains a link to my personal website as per FT rules.

I haven't, but when I go there I see it as well as the 128GB version. They cost about $100 and $200, respectively, over the $650 max credit.

Me and my wife are under my AT&T account. Both of us want to apply for this credit card and replace phones. I know I can replace new phone for my existing phone with no problem. But can my wife also do that? It's my account and she has no sting attached to it. Does anyone have any idea? I don't know if cc's name must match to att's account holder's.

I have the same problem - we're on a "family plan" under my name, so I don't know if my wife can use this offer or not. Anybody?

Received an email from att immediately, stating:

Here's more information if you're replacing your phone.

This purchase will not affect any existing contract. Your upgrade eligibility will not change.

Here's more information if you're replacing your phone and are on the AT&T NextSM plan.

This purchase will not affect any existing contract. Your upgrade eligibility will not change. You will continue to be on your AT&T Next installment plan and will still be responsible for the remaining monthly charges.

Thank you for choosing us,
AT&T

pretty simple, and fast. ^

Why couldn't you? You can both upgrade your phones under your current contract.
Both my wife and I are applying for the card and we have 10 users. Also no 2nd pull because you're already a AT&T user.
