Which websites qualify for 3X points?

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on purchases made at eligible retail (including department store websites, specialty store websites, warehouse store websites and boutique websites) and travel websites (including online travel agencies, and hotel and airline websites).

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on products and services purchased directly from AT&T, including payment of monthly phone, cable or internet bills.

You'll earn an Anniversary Bonus of 10,000 ThankYou Points after you spend $10,000 in purchases in the prior cardmembership year.

Special note about eBay and PayPal - varies widely as to whether the bonus points are awarded. It seems to vary depending on merchant with no real discernible pattern.

Certain Non-Qualifying Purchases. You wont earn 3X Points for purchases of and payments for medical services, insurance, taxes and government services, real estate, real estate rentals, purchases or reloading of prepaid or gift cards, education, charities and utilities.
You wont earn 3X Points for purchases from independent wireless dealers, non-AT&T-owned stores, or AT&T resellers unless you are paying for an AT&T service, such as your phone, cable or internet.
(Effective 9/22/2019)

All payments coding as online are hit and miss. Sometimes it codes as online, sometimes it doesn't. YMMV.

you can still product change over to ATTA but its so unreliable that I don't think it makes sense. I had it for a few years, and gave up after coding of purchases as well as retention bonuses became unpredictable.

I reached out to Citi via the chat in the mobile app and they said I could only PC to the AT&T Access card, not the Access More card. The Access card only earns 1x for online purchases, right?

Better to product change to Citi Double Cash if this is possible. 2x on everything- might even average out better than ATTAM based on recent reports.

Guess I might as well just open a Double Cash card in that case? No need to PC from my beloved Premier card?

Sorry didn't see the history. Yes if you are looking to downgrade to a no AF card from the Premier, I'm pretty sure you can PC to the Double Cash. But it only earns transferrable TYP if you have Premier or Prestige, otherwise it earns... cash. And what's the fun in that?

Yes you can just open a DoubleCash if you already have Premier and want to keep it, it's a very good combo.

Edit: educate yourself on Chase 4/24 (just google it) before you open a new card as opposed to PC.

The only Citi card I have is the Premier... Can I PC from the Premier and then open a new Premier right afterwards?

Technically, you can have more than one Premier, so you don't need to PC just to open the new one. If you are looking to open a new Premier, though, make sure you are eligible for the bonus, and be aware that Citi has been tough(er) on approvals for that one recently.

Regarding opening the Double Cash card, for many of us, the strategy has been to open another card with good bonus and then product changing to the DC. I opened an AA card for the 60K bonus and after a year product changed. I definitely earned more miles/points in the first year that way than signing up directly for the DC (with no signup bonus) and getting 2x on everyday purchases. It will depend on how much non-bonused spend you have.

I have had the ATTA card for a while, and the online earnings bonus is really hit or miss, as others have mentioned. There are 2 reasons why I keep it: it still has extended warranty coverage (which the DC doesn't), and year after year I've gotten good to great retention bonuses.

it's a hit or miss.. not sure what goes on in their system, but usually it codes as 3x (for me) but have ran into receiving 1x on it a few times as well

any one have data points on retention offers this year for the access more ? I've been getting the +2 typ every year, but this year no dice. called twice already. Will try once more, but might be time to move on from it.

Like others I've been really frustrated with the inconsistency of the online shopping bonus on this card. But is Citi actually doing something to fix this? My recent statement shows an additional TYP earning as "Adjusted +9989". I did not have any offers on the card, so the thought occurred to me that this adjustment is their attempt to make things right.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Technically it is ATTA, not ATTAM, but same idea. The card has actually been hibernating in my sock drawer for 6 months, so I was surprised to see a new bill pop up. There was no spend, they just added a few hundred points. Odd, but I am not going to turn it down!

I came here to ask the same question. I did not get my 10k annual bonus back in August, and a number of large online purchases over the summer coded as 1x, so I had basically stopped using my ATTAM since I can't trust it. Noticed today that I had a 24,000 point adjustment with no other detail. In my mind I'm owed more like 10k (for the annual bonus) plus another 26k for missing 3x points, so I might call to push on them to see if the 10k annual in particular is still missing.

Thanks for the tip. I got a rather large adjustment that likely accounts for all my frustration with eBay and a few other online merchants not 3xing over the last year or so.

I've got an adjustment of 4300 points total, but my base points YTD were only 1500 points, and I've got anniversary bonus. That means the adjustment dates back more than this year.
