Which websites qualify for 3X points?

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on purchases made at eligible retail (including department store websites, specialty store websites, warehouse store websites and boutique websites) and travel websites (including online travel agencies, and hotel and airline websites).

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on products and services purchased directly from AT&T, including payment of monthly phone, cable or internet bills.

You'll earn an Anniversary Bonus of 10,000 ThankYou Points after you spend $10,000 in purchases in the prior cardmembership year.

Special note about eBay and PayPal - varies widely as to whether the bonus points are awarded. It seems to vary depending on merchant with no real discernible pattern.

Certain Non-Qualifying Purchases. You won’t earn 3X Points for purchases of and payments for medical services, insurance, taxes and government services, real estate, real estate rentals, purchases or reloading of prepaid or gift cards, education, charities and utilities.
You won’t earn 3X Points for purchases from independent wireless dealers, non-AT&T-owned stores, or AT&T resellers unless you are paying for an AT&T service, such as your phone, cable or internet.
(Effective 9/22/2019)

All payments coding as online are hit and miss. Sometimes it codes as online, sometimes it doesn't. YMMV.

I havent used it yet. AT&T sucks for buying phones outright - everything is always at full price, even old phones. May bite the bullet and get an iphone mini - I assume we just contact citi and they will advice how to go about redeeming the offer now?

Funny they don't mention all the neutered online earnings.

I don't think this is a relaunch of Access More, it's a refresh of Access, which was little discussed here:

Not very optimistic but the card is still worthwhile for me.
Thought I was going to be able to add a DP to this thread, but in the end, decided to take a $250 discount on a new iPhone through my employer rather than chance the $650 reimbursement through Citi. Sorry if anyone was waiting on feedback.

That's not a signup offer for the Access More card, and the Access More card has not been relaunched. The Access More is discontinued for new applications.

That's the Access card, not the Access More card. The Access (non-More) card always had 2x online earning, and has been around for ages.

However, since the DoubleCash card's cashback can now be transferred to TYP points, and thus the DoubleCash effectively earns 2x on absolutely everything, I don't see the point of holding an Access card to only earn 2x on some (and in reality not all) online purchases. So IMHO the (non-More) Access card is perhaps only useful as a signup bonus card, period. But the downside is that you had to transfer the points to an AF card to use them for most things (but they expire shortly after transfer), and so you have to keep the "useless to hold" Access (non-More) card open (and use it occasionally to keep Citi from closing it for "inactivity") until you're ready to use the points, or convert it to Rewards+ a year later (Rewards+ is useful for small purchases, since it earns a minimum of 10 points, which on purchases under $5 is more than DoubleCash would earn).

As someone who has had the non-More Access (ATTA) card for a few years, there are 2 reasons why I would not call it "useless to hold."
1. Extended warranty protection. This benefit was taken away from the Double Cash card in 2019, but left on the ATTA card. Most of my electronics purchases are made online (hence they should earn 2x), and I gain the full 2 extra years of warranty. Since the card has no AF, I can keep it open indefinitely, and should have extra protections for my purchases.
2. Retention offers. Despite being a no AF card, this card often has the lucrative retention offer for 2 extra TYP per dollar spent up to 35K points ($17.5K spend). There are many data points of people getting this, and I received it earlier this year. This became my everyday spend card from May till October, since it earned 3x on non-bonused spend, and 4x on internet purchases (when they coded correctly). Not a guarantee, but it seems to come up fairly often.

I would never call this card essential, or recommend it for someone who holds less than 10 cards. But I have a TYP set-up (Premier, Rewards+, and Double Cash), and this card has complemented it well. Personally I would not waste a hard pull or 5/24 slot for 15k points, but I am happy I downgraded to it a couple years back.

ATTAM Annual 10k TY points bonus

Did anyone during the past year aim for - and receive - the annual 10k TY points bonus with $10.000 spend ?

Certainly. Every year. And I use it only for 3x categories.

I would concur with all of the above and in some cases it also gets random other bonuses offered (like the 5% online spend Citi had in Nov/Dec). It's not a daily driver, but for the TYP centric consumer (which we are) it has some niche uses. I asked for retention twice on it in 2020 (to get the 2x spending) and was only given it once though, diminishing my spending.

Nope, just 1x, even though it coded as 3x category, but due to Paypal it fell into 1x.
