How to match to new 60k bonus offer
I recently applied for the citi premier card with the 50k bonus. I called in a few days ago to request a match to the new 60k offer, and the rep said he would put in a request, and I would hear back within 2-3 days. I called again today and the rep said I would get a letter response within 30 days so I asked to speak to a supervisor.
After talking to a supervisor she told me that I would qualify, but that i have to spend the $3500 first, then call back in to get matched (within 90+14 days of approval). She said she would put a note on my account that I would qualify for the extra 10k points after I hit the $3500 threshold.
My assumption based on the other comments is that if you already have hit the spend threshold they will give you the extra points, but if you haven't they won't offer the match until you have.

I had them match better offers on the Citi Hilton a couple times and they note it on the account but say to contact them again after the spend is made...........chances are the bonus will post as 50K and 10K rather than 60K in one shot

I want to apply for one of these, but need to wait for the 65 day window to close later this month. However, I have a couple of Citi cards with high CL and an AF that just posted. Should I go ahead and close them now?

When does the sign on bonus for this card post? I completed my $3500 spending with my statement that closed on 9/2. The points earned from spending have posted to my account, but my statement doesn't show anything about the bonus 60k points, nor does my point balance.

FYI via SM I was denied for a match. I tried Twitter to much better results. Unfortunately, it's just outside the 90 day window since I was approved, but they did say they'd put in a request for me, and if it was still rejected, they'd at least meet me halfway and give me 5K. I think I saw another post that said 90 days + 14 from app, so maybe my 94 day since approval will get accepted and I'll get the full 10K?
But anyway, for those looking to match, I didn't have success via SM but Twitter seems much better.

I used Facebook to contact Citi once for a Hilton match when their SM was down and it worked.

How did you apply, get the card ,make the spend and have a statement close in a week ?
If you applied for the 50K and were matched for the 60K offer that could be part of the delay.
In the past I have seem the matches post as your original bonus (50K) and a separate bonus for the difference , in this case 10K

Haven't heard anything yet
Applied and approved yesterday. Haven't heard a peep from Citi (and no UPS or FedEx shipping notifications). It'd be nice if they expedited this, considering it's premium-ish. But I've also got to complete spends on the Amex SPG and Amex Platinum, so if it arrives in a week, all the better.
