Citi Prestige Global Entry or TSA Pre-Check Reimbursement

Is the Global Entry Reimbursement every year or is it every 5 years? Does Citi have a record for when you applied and reset it every 5 years?

Once every 5 years. I assume they have some sort of record keeping system for it

Is it automatic or do I have to contact them for the reimbursement?

global entry?

Can the 100 dollar Global Entry credit be applied if the card is used to pay for an application for someone other than the primary user?

Yes. Credit comes in automatically once they see it hit your card; the name of the person you're paying the fee for does not appear there.

Also, for those who had the 30k offer matched to 50k, has anyone received the extra 20k TYP yet?

I'd assume so. They don't know who the app is for, just that the charge was made for the application.

Do AUs get their own Global Entry reimbursement or is it 1 per account like the airline credit?

TPG: Citi AA Executive Adds $100 GE Credit

http://thepointsguy.com/2015/04/citi...-entry-credit/

"Starting today, the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard will offer a statement credit of up to $100 to cover application fees for either Global Entry or TSA Precheck. These programs have exploded in popularity as more and more travelers look for ways to trim the time spent dealing with airport security. Credit card issuers are taking notice, and are beginning to see the demand (for Global Entry in particular) as an opportunity to improve benefits."

I called and the CSR didn't seem to know about this new benefit. Seems like the article's comment section and the thread on Flyertalk have not confirmed this new benefit either.

I find it pretty irresponsible to post something like that without offering the online source or link. Also noticed that TPG didn't respond to comments asking for clarification and/or confirmation. TPG should either take the post down or confirm.

Found out about this Global Entry credit benefit today while on a call with an CSR regarding receiving the 10k miles anniversary bonus on my Barclaycard Aviator card. Got a case opened, so hopefully they will match this offer with the application I had originally submitted.

We were then chatting about the perks of both the AAdvantage Executive and Aviator cards now that the programs have combined. She had actually just found out about this new GE benefit as well, and mentioned earlier in the day she denied to another customer the ability to receive the GE credit.

So today I went ahead and submitted my Global Entry application and paid the $100 fee with my AAdvantage Executive card. Let's see how this credit plays out ...

On another note, in a follow-up call to get some clarification on the Aviator Red credit of 10% of the miles used to book a flight, apparently this 10% returned miles bonus credit is applied after the flight is flown. Huh, did not know that.

Does the Global Entry reimbursement only apply if I apply for GE for myself? I already applied for and had Global Entry reimbursed through my Amex Platinum - was thinking of using the Global Entry reimbursement from the Citi Prestige to allow my girlfriend to apply for Global Entry.

Would this be reimbursed, or would it be reimbursed only for applications under my name?

I sent a SM to Citi asking if I'd get credit for GE or TSA precheck; here's the response. I've sent a followup question re secondary cardholders and credit for someone other than cardholder. Will update when I get reply.

Dear

You must charge the application fee of at least $85 to your Citi account to be eligible for the statement credit. The credit will be applied for the first program (either Global Entry or TSA Precheck) to which you apply and pay for with their eligible card, regardless of whether you are approved for Global Entry or TSA Precheck. The credit will be applied on the account within 1-2 billing cycles after the qualifying charge.

We hope this information is helpful.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

We appreciate your business and value you as our customer.

I have transferred some posts from another thread which discuss the identical question. Please scroll back.

Has anyone tried this yet? I was planning to cancel soon...but maybe not worth it if it takes 1-2 billing cycles to show up. Although maybe it is...the prorated annual fee is $37.50 per month so if it doesn't show up for 2 months it's like getting Global Entry for $75! But hopefully it posts sooner than that.
